About me and my therapy practice
You may be a person-centred placement counsellor, qualified practitioner, or counselling service manager working in higher education, Talking Therapies or third-sector services. You might be supporting young adults or international students while navigating short-term models, organisational demands and increasing clinical complexity. Alongside your role, you may be holding clinical risk, leadership responsibility or self-doubt and looking for supervision that offers structure, reflection and an understanding of both therapeutic and service-level pressures.
I am a qualified Integrative and PCE-CfD Counsellor, and a Clinical and PCE-CfD Supervisor, with extensive experience in short-term work with adults, young people and university students. I currently practise at the University of Manchester and have held senior clinical supervision and counselling service leadership roles, giving me insight into both therapeutic and organisational pressures.
I am a bilingual, culturally informed practitioner, passionate about supporting supervisees - both trainees and qualified counsellors - to develop professional confidence, reflective capacity and ethical decision-making. My supervision integrates relational, person-centred and solution-focused frameworks, offering a collaborative and reflective space tailored to each practitioner’s needs.
I work with integrative and person-centred supervisees across higher education, Talking Therapies and third-sector services. I am also qualified to provide specialist supervision for PCE-CfD counsellors practising within Talking Therapies services.
Practice description
My supervision is collaborative and tailored, combining reflective dialogue, case formulation and practical tools to build professional confidence, resilience and reflective capacity. I bring warmth, curiosity and cultural awareness to every session, supporting supervisees through challenging client presentations, organisational pressures and personal doubts.
We would explore not only what happens with clients but also your internal experience as a practitioner - the thoughts, feelings and reactions that may not have been expressed in sessions. Using frameworks such as the Seven-Eyed Model, we would respectfully examine and challenge both the supervisory and therapeutic relationships, helping you understand how your internal processes influence clinical work and decision-making.
You can expect supervision that is supportive and challenging where it matters, helping you grow as a reflective, ethically confident and culturally aware practitioner.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call to discuss your supervision needs, training or practice context and what you hope to gain from supervision. We also explore expectations, boundaries and whether my supervisory approach feels like a good fit.
If we decide to work together, the first supervision session focuses on contracting and relationship-building. We would clarify practical arrangements, confidentiality, ethical responsibilities, and any organisational or training requirements. There is also space to explore your previous experiences of supervision such as what has been helpful or challenging.
The first session is not an assessment but a collaborative space to begin reflecting on your practice, professional development and work context. Discussions may include client work, placement or organisational pressures, risk or any immediate concerns.
My approach is integrative and relational, drawing on person-centred experiential principles and the Seven-Eyed Model. From the first session onwards, supervision is tailored to your developmental stage, role, and working environment, with attention to ethical practice, self-awareness and sustainable professional growth.
