I am a clinical supervisor with 5 years experience in Supervision. I am a humanistic therapist in private practice, primarily person-centred.

I like to accentuate the peer to peer element of Supervision. As a supervisor, I am a peer with a skillset and external perspective. I am most definitely not anyone's superior and that is a core tenet of my work. I am personable and enjoy creating strong, congenial working relationships with my supervisees in a warm, welcoming environment.

I offer 20 minutes free phone calls to discuss your needs and expectations and also to give you a sense of who I am as a supervisor to make sure I fit your needs. When it comes to Supervision, we are the consumer and it's important that *I* work for *YOU*.

I was an actor for 20 years and got to understand that we all can find ourselves in adverse situations that feel out of our control. 

My goal with Autonomy Counselling Services is to help you understand and accept what is happening and move towards creating a better situation for yourself.

I am a personable, down to earth person. I try to bring a serious tone to my work, but make sure to not lose the human connection. You will feel like an individual person when you're in therapy with me. I'm talking tea, a biscuit or two if you're so inclined. 

I believe that therapy is about interaction and a dual experience so I endeavour to be there with my clients every step of the way.

I work in a person-centred way, which basically means that I believe that you know what's best for you, not me. Sometimes we can lose sight of what's best for us and feel out of control, it's my job to help unravel the situation and figure out YOUR way forward.

I am "integrative" meaning I am trained in a variety of techniques which includes TA (Transactional Analysis), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and trauma work.

As a private therapist, I am able to pick and choose which style works best based on you and what works best. 

I see therapy as a collaborative process so I encourage my clients to be an active participant in deciding what therapy looks like for them. If you're paying for the service, you should get a say in how the service happens!

When you contact me, I offer a free phone consultation. This usually takes 20 or so minutes and is an opportunity for you to tell me a little about what's going on. 

It's also a time for you to get a sense of who I am and make sure that you feel I am someone that you would want to work with before you spend a penny.
