I offer a range of supervision appointment times, including daytime, evenings, and weekends, to fit around your professional and personal commitments. My aim is to make supervision accessible, supportive, and tailored to your needs, helping you maintain continuity in your reflective and clinical work. Whether you prefer weekly, monthly, or more flexible sessions, we'll find a rhythm that feels manageable and fosters your professional needs, development, confidence, and well-being.
I also offer between-session availability free of charge, for ethical issues, safeguarding concerns, dilemmas that can't wait, and moments where you simply need to check in.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm Suzie Pugh, an Attachment-Focused Clinical Supervisor and also an experienced BACP Registered Counsellor, CBT Practitioner and Psychotherapist. I work exclusively online, providing supportive, reflective supervision to trainee therapists, newly qualified practitioners and experienced clinicians working in private practice, within agency settings or online platforms such as Betterhelp.
I am currently completing a CPCAB Accredited Level 7 Post-Graduate Diploma (Masters Level) in Attachment-Focused Psychotherapy, which includes full clinical supervisor training. I have now completed all required training to practice as a supervisor, with specialities in working with person-centred counsellors, CBT Practitioners or psychotherapists.
My supervision style is warm, relational and collaborative, with a strong focus on attachment processes, reflective capacity and ethical, safe client work. I tailor supervision to the supervisee's developmental stage, confidence, modality and professional context, meeting you where you are and supporting your growth at a pace that feels manageable and affirming.
I draw on a range of well-researched, integrative supervision models, including Attachment-Focused Supervision, the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet), the Functional Model (Inskipp & Proctor) and the Reflective Learning Model (Davys & Beddoe). This integrative approach blends person-centred values, CBT thinking, and an understanding of the supervisee's unique needs and clinical context.
I adapt supervision dynamically, offering structure, ethical guidance, and support around risk when needed, and moving to exploratory, reflective and relational work, as needed. My aim is to create a secure, attuned space where you can reflect safely, explore challenges, celebrate successes, and deepen your professional development.
Practice description
Supervision with me is a secure, attuned and deeply relational space. Practitioners often tell me they feel "met", understood, and able to bring the whole of themselves to our sessions - their clinical work and their emotional world, without fear of judgement.
Our work will hold whatever you need to explore, including:-
Clinical decision-making and client explorations
Risk management and safeguarding concerns
Ethical dilemmas and professional boundaries
Your emotional responses, stuck points and moments of uncertainty.
Attachment, relational dynamics and parallel process
Online therapy complexities and nuances
CPD goals, professional development, confidence, and the ongoing shaping of you as a therapist
You can expect a supervisor who is warm, grounded, empathic and genuinely invested in you. I balance gentle challenge with safety, and I pace it carefully so you never feel alone with something heavy or beyond your depth. We will also take time to notice and celebrate the positive outcomes in your work, and the wonderful shared moments you have with your clients - the small victories and meaningful connections that make therapy so rewarding.
My approach is collaborative and curious. You remain the expert in your client work, and I stand alongside you with curiosity, support, clinical thinking and a steady presence.
I also offer between-session availability free of charge, for ethical issues, safeguarding concerns, dilemmas that can't wait, and moments where you simply need to check in. You will never be left holding something that feels too big or too risky on your own. My supervisees often say that this ongoing support is one of the things they value most.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute online or telephone consultation to ensure we are the right fit, answer any questions, and discuss the type of supervision you're looking for.
In our first full session, we can explore your needs further, your goals, review your caseload needs (including any current client issues or dilemmas), and agree on the level of structure, support, and challenge you prefer.
I offer a range of appointment times to suit busy clinical schedules, including:-
Daytime appointments
Evening sessions
Weekend availability
This flexibility supports supervisees who balance private practice, agency work, training programmes or family commitments. I offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions depending on your caseload and professional requirements.
In summary, I aim to offer supervision that is ethical, attuned, grounded and deeply reflective. My focus is on promoting safe, effective practice while supporting you to grow confidently into your clinical identity. About me and my therapy practice
I'm Suzie Pugh, an experienced BACP Registered Counsellor, CBT Practitioner and Psychotherapist. I work exclusively online with clients across the UK and internationally. My approach is warm, curious and collaborative, and I tailor therapy to each person's individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.
I specialise in attachment-focused therapy and inner child work, and I also support clients with anxiety, OCD, body dysmorphia (body image issues), eating disorders, relational and communication issues and healing from narcissistic or emotionally harmful relationships.
As an integrative therapist, I blend person-centred values with evidence-based CBT and attachment-focused approaches. Together, we explore what feels helpful, what feels challenging, and what you need for things to feel different. Sessions move at your pace, and you remain in control of what we explore.
I'm currently completing a CPCAB-Accredited Level 7 Post-Graduate Diploma (Masters Level) in Attachment-Focused Psychotherapy, through which I am expanding into couples counselling and clinical supervision.
My aim is to offer a supportive, grounded therapeutic relationship, helping you to understand and manage emotions and build stronger, healthier relationships.
Practice description
Therapy with me is a safe, consistent, and non-judgmental space where you can explore whatever is weighing on you, whether that is anxiety, relationship struggles, past experiences, or patterns you want to change.
I work relationally, meaning our therapeutic relationship becomes part of the healing process. Together we build safety, trust and curiosity so that deeper insight and change can unfold naturally. You will be met with empathy, compassion and clarity, as well as gentle challenge when appropriate.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from:-
Attachment-focused therapy to explore patterns, wounds and relational needs.
Inner child work to support healing at an emotional, developmental level.
CBT techniques to manage anxiety, intrusive, obsessive thoughts and unhelpful behaviours.
Person-centred principles to create a space where you feel fully heard and understood.
Clients often say they feel deeply supported, more regulated, and able to understand themselves in new ways. My goal is for you to leave therapy with clarity, confidence and tools that strengthen your wellbeing beyond our sessions.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute online or telephone consultation so we can explore what you're looking for and ensure we feel like the right fit. There's no pressure or expectation, simply a chance to meet, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work.
If we decide to move forward, your first full session will be a gentle, collaborative exploration of what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. We can talk through your goals (or help you find them if you're unsure), your history, and what support you need right now. I can explain how I work, answer questions, and ensure the pace feels comfortable for you.
Many clients feel a sense of relief after the first session - the experience of being listened to and understood can itself be grounding and settling.

About me and my therapy practice
I'm Suzie Pugh, an experienced BACP Registered Counsellor, CBT Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor, and Psychotherapist. I am currently completing a Level 7 (Masters Level) Postgraduate DipIoma in Attachment-Focused Psychotherapy, which includes specialist training in couples therapy grounded in attachment theory.
As part of this advanced training, I am offering a structured series of 8 couples sessions at a reduced training rate of £70 per 60-minute session.
My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative. We can explore how early attachment experiences shape emotional responses, communication patterns, and relational dynamics in adult partnerships. Together, we can identify recurring cycles of conflict or distance and work toward developing greater emotional safety, mutual understanding, and secure connection.
This work is particularly suited to couples experiencing repeated relational patterns, emotional disconnection, or difficulties in communication. We can explore how past experiences may be influencing the present, and reflect on your emotional responses within the relationship. Sessions are delivered online.
My aim is to offer a supportive and emotionally safe space where both partners feel heard and understood. From this secure base, we can explore difficult dynamics with care and develop new ways of responding to one another that strengthen trust and connection.
Practice description
Couples therapy with me is a safe, consistent, and non-judgmental space where you can both explore your perspectives openly and feel heard without interruption or blame.
I work to ensure that there is balance in the room, so that neither partner feels sided against or overlooked. Together we can identify recurring interaction patterns, understand the emotional triggers beneath conflict, and begin to develop new ways of responding to one another that feel calmer and more secure.
Sessions are structured yet flexible, combining reflective dialogue with practical tools to support communication, emotional regulation, and relational repair between sessions.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call with both partners present so we can briefly discuss what's bringing you to therapy and ensure the work feels appropriate. There's no pressure or expectation, simply a chance for us to meet, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work.
If we decide to move forward, the first session is an assessment and orientation session. I will invite each partner to share their experience of the relationship and what has led you to seek support at this time.
We can explore key aspects of your relationship history, identify recurring patterns of interaction, and begin to understand the emotional dynamics that may be maintaining conflict or distance.
We can look to agree on clear goals for our work together and establish guidelines to ensure sessions remain respectful and constructive. This helps create a balanced and emotionally safe foundation for the therapeutic work that follows.
We may begin to consider how attachment styles and early relational experiences are influencing present-day responses within the relationship.
