About me and my therapy practice
I'm trained as an integrative counsellor and can provide supervision for anyone working in a helping profession. I have worked in a healthcare setting as a Clinical Supervisor working with counsellors, assisted psychologists and CBT clinicians.
I have also worked as a CPCAB counselling tutor and would welcome working with students currently training on level 4 counselling courses or equivalent.
I currently work for the NHS offering psychotherapy to clients with complex needs. I'm also training to be an EMDR therapist.
I have a CPCAB Level 6 supervision qualification. My supervision training is based on Hawkins and Shohet's Seven Eyed Process Model. I draw upon the developmental and relational approaches to supervision.

Practice description
I believe supervision is a collaborative process, and as your supervisor I will facilitate and guide you to learn and develop confidence as an independent practitioner.

As well as your client work I will also check in on your self care and encourage you to consider your next steps as a practitioner.
I currently offer supervision in person from my space in Kingsbridge or Plymouth and online via Zoom and would be happy to provide either one-hour monthly supervision or the BACP 1.5 hour requirement for monthly supervision.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Karenza and I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which means that I tailor my approach based on your needs and goals. I have experience of working with both adults and young people. I believe the relationship is key to you feeling able to explore the challenges you are facing. It is important that you are comfortable working with me and feel that I am here to support you.
Our work will support you to untangle and make sense of your emotions and responses. Build your self belief and help you to better manage your day to day.
Practice description
I provide face to face support as well as zoom (if preferred). I have worked in a variety of settings from schools, charities, private healthcare and currently in the NHS, working with clients with complex needs. My priority is to focus on you and what you need.
Together we can set the pace of the work. I have a broad experience of working with anxiety, depression, self esteem, bereavement and anything which you feel is becoming a barrier to your day to day. I also have experience working and supporting neurodiverse clients.

My first session
We can either meet face to face or via zoom and during our first session we will cover the contract between us, in terms of understanding confidentiality, session timings and giving you an idea of what to expect from our sessions. I will ask you about your current situation and concerns, as this will help to guide our sessions. Offering us the time to review the work and consider other issues or goals that may come up during our time together.
