About me and my therapy practice

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by my profile.

As a BACP Accredited therapist and supervisor, I believe that great supervision is built on a foundation of kindness, warmth, and genuine acceptance.

I see our time together as a true partnership; a safe, supportive space where we can look at your client work together.

A place not just to focus on your growth as a therapist, but also to prioritize your own well-being and self-care.

In our sessions, I will offer a blend of gentle encouragement and thoughtful challenge.

My goal is to help you feel empowered and confident in your practice, providing a professional yet nurturing relationship where you can truly flourish.

Practice description

Whether you’re a seasoned therapist or just starting your journey as a trainee, I welcome the chance to support you.

My background with all age groups allows me to offer a broad perspective to practitioners from any modality.

Take a look around my website, and if you’d like to chat about how we might work together, please get in touch.

I make it a point to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

My first session

In our first session, I’d like for us to simply take some time to get to know one another and talk about what you’re hoping to get out of our time together.

I truly believe that the connection between a supervisor and supervisee is the heartbeat of good practice. That’s why I’ll put my energy into making sure our relationship is a space where you feel supported, heard, and able to truly flourish.

Best wishes,

Colin

About me and my therapy practice

Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by my profile to see if we might be a good fit.

My name is Colin. I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist who focuses on supporting adults and young people (11-18) as they navigate life’s ups and downs.

I believe in kindness and listening without judgement. I offer a relaxed, safe space where you can talk through your feelings and worries at a speed that feels comfortable and right for you.

When I’m not in my private practice, I work as a counsellor within a busy secondary school supporting school pupils from S1 - S6.

Through my life experiences, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges people navigate in daily life. This shapes the way I work, allowing me to offer support that is compassionate, practical and genuinely helpful.

Before I became a therapist, I spent a long time working in business and volunteering with local charities, helping people through some of their toughest moments.

I know that therapy works best when you feel truly heard. That’s why I focus on building a relationship with you based on genuine trust, warmth, and understanding.

Practice description

I offer in-person counselling sessions from my room in East Kilbride Old Village, where we can work together on either a short- or longer-term basis, depending on what feels right for you.

The room is easy to get to, with plenty of local parking and good access to train and bus links. Please note that it is on the second floor and, at present, there isn’t lift access.

If you’d like to talk through what’s bringing you to counselling and get a feel for how we might work together, I offer an introductory phone or online call. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

Best wishes,

Colin

I’ll ask you to take some time to consider what feels right for you and whether you’d like to continue working together.

We can arrange sessions on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis, and this will be what ever is best for you.
