About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative supervisor with an extensive experience in neurodiversity, trauma, and bereavement. I have worked in private practice for many years and have previously worked in the charitable sector for both adults and young people. I bring to my supervisory role a lived experience of private practice and working within organisations and can offer organisational supervision if required. I also have worked with student counsellors offering supervision for those undertaking placement and am competent in fulfilling the extra requirements many placements and colleges have.

I like to work collaboratively with supervisees, seeing neither of us as the expert, but rather two professionals with their own skills and insights bringing our collective knowledge together to explore relational and practical dynamics within the therapeutic relationship, as well as offering guidance and support for areas outside of client work including training, self development and emotional support.

I believe I have a down to earth approach which conveys warmth, kindness and support, whilst offering challenge and different perspectives where needed. I encourage open and honest dialogue and can help you explore barriers to this. I also look at how previous or current experiences may be influencing your work with a client to bring clarity, compassion and understanding to your work.

Practice description

I have a ground floor office (two small steps) in the centre of Exeter which is accessible via public transport or has parking nearby.

I also offer online sessions for those who prefer.

I offer 1hr or 1.5hr or 2hr slots as required and inline with your governing body and/or organisational requirements.

My first session

Your first session will include collecting any essential information, understanding your requirements for supervision, getting to know one another and offering you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
