About me and my therapy practice
I offer person-centred integrative supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, trainees and helping professionals. My approach is rooted in the belief that effective supervision develops through a collaborative, trusting relationship where supervisees feel safe enough to reflect honestly, think creatively and continue growing in their practice.
Alongside a strong person-centred foundation, I draw on attachment theory, trauma-informed perspectives, relational approaches and contemporary supervision models. I aim to create a reflective space where clinical work, ethical dilemmas, professional identity, self-awareness and practitioner wellbeing can all be explored with curiosity, openness and compassion.
I view supervision as more than oversight of client work. It is a restorative and developmental process that supports practitioners to deepen their understanding of therapeutic relationships, notice patterns and processes, strengthen ethical decision-making, and enhance confidence in their professional judgement. I pay particular attention to parallel process, relational dynamics, difference, diversity, power and context.
My style is warm, thoughtful and collaborative. I seek to balance support with appropriate challenge, adapting supervision to your experience level, learning style and professional goals. Whether you are navigating complex client presentations, building confidence as a trainee, managing the emotional impact of therapeutic work, or developing your identity as a practitioner or supervisor, I strive to provide a space that is both containing and growth-promoting.
I value reflective practice, ongoing learning and professional curiosity. Supervision is tailored to the individual and aims to support safe, ethical and effective practice while also nurturing your development and wellbeing as a practitioner.
Practice description
I supervise qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, trainee practitioners and professionals working in helping roles. My experience includes working with adults presenting with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions and experiences of abuse.
As an integrative practitioner, I support supervisees from a range of theoretical orientations while maintaining a person-centred ethos. I recognise that each practitioner brings their own values, experience and way of working, and I aim to create a supervision relationship that honours individuality while supporting accountability and professional standards.
Sessions provide space for case discussion, ethical reflection, exploration of therapeutic relationships, practitioner wellbeing and professional development. I encourage reflection on both client process and the impact of the work on the practitioner, supporting resilience and sustainable practice.
Since 2019, I have worked in private practice, including accepting referrals from the Fire Service and Victim Support. I also spent three years working as a counsellor within a men's hostel, supporting men experiencing addiction, complex trauma, homelessness and significant mental health difficulties. Working across both community and private settings has provided me with experience of a wide range of presentations and levels of complexity, which I bring into supervision through a reflective, grounded and supportive approach.
Supervision is available both online and in person.
I welcome enquiries from trainees seeking a supportive learning environment as well as experienced practitioners looking for a reflective, collaborative supervisory relationship.
My aim is to offer supervision that is supportive, ethical, professionally rigorous and responsive to the evolving needs of both practitioners and the clients they serve.
My first session
The first supervision session provides an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether we are a good fit professionally. We will discuss your current practice, professional background, supervision needs and what you hope to gain from supervision.
I will invite you to talk about your client work, theoretical orientation, areas of confidence, areas where you would like greater support, and any organisational or training requirements relevant to your practice. We will also discuss practical matters such as frequency of sessions, record keeping, contracting, confidentiality, ethical responsibilities and fees.
Where appropriate, we will begin to identify your learning and development goals, ensuring supervision is tailored to your individual needs and stage of practice. Trainee counsellors are welcome, and we can discuss any course requirements and expectations from your training provider.
The first session is also an opportunity for you to experience how I work and to ask any questions you may have about my approach to supervision. I believe a strong supervisory relationship is built on trust, openness and collaboration, so it is important that you feel comfortable and supported from the outset.
If we decide to work together, we will agree a supervision contract and establish a framework that supports safe, ethical and effective practice, while also providing space for reflection, growth and professional development.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor, with additional specialist training and experience in Trauma Therapy and Bereavement Counselling. I work in a relational way, adapting my approach to meet your needs.
I offer a welcoming, non-judgmental space where together we can explore any difficulties or challenges you may be facing. I will aid you in telling your story, giving you space to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe space, at your own pace. Together we can work to identify patterns of behaviour and make sense of any relational difficulties you may have. Helping you build a stronger sense of self.
Therapy with me can help if you are experiencing low mood, anxiety, stress or burn-out, have suffered a bereavement, significant loss or trauma. You may be struggling with issues around your own identity, or having difficulties in relationships. Or it may be that you can't quite put your finger on what the issue is but you find it hard to find meaning or enjoyment in life. I will help you explore these feelings, gain better understanding of yourself and find a way forward.
