Availability

At the moment I have private practice on weekday evenings due to working in a school during the day time. However, at the end of April 2026 I am going to be fully self-employed and so I shall have much more availability to work with supervisees throughout the weekdays.

About me and my therapy practice

As part of my private practice I currently supervise counsellors/therapists on an individual basis, but am also looking to supervise groups too.

My expertise is in Children's (0-12), Young People's (13-17), and Young Adults (18-25) therapy, but I can supervise qualified therapists who are working with adults and couples.

In December 2024 I completed my Level 6 Counselling Supervision Certificate with CPCAB. As part of my training (April-October 2024) I supervised a mixture of trainee and fully qualified therapists.

***My qualification allows me to supervise trainees, but due to many colleges and universities wanting supervisors to be Accredited, I may not meet the requirements at this time - however, in February 2026 I am going to completing my Accreditation with the BACP, which means I shall be able to supervise trainees through their college/university establishments once I have completed this. ***

Practice description

My supervision approach is The Cyclical Model because this provides a gentle structure for sessions and keeps them focused on the client, but whilst allowing plentiful space for supervisees to bring what they need. This model is Integrative by design, which means counsellors/therapists using a range of therapeutic approaches and modalities can be positively supported by it. Also an inclusive model, it can support practitioners at varying stages of their development.

In my work with supervisees I support them through a use of Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive clinical thinking.

As a supervisor I bring a wealth of experience and training that I wish to share with my supervisees so that they can learn, grow and develop. I am committed to the BACP Ethical Framework (2018) and the Supervision Competence Framework (2021). I have fortnightly supervision and engage in ongoing CPD.

I strive to offer my supervisees a safe, non-judgemental and contained space where they feel held, supported and able to grow as reflective and ethical practitioners. I aim to give my supervisees encouragement and remind them to validate themselves as counsellors/therapists by recognising their achievements with them in the supervisory space. Equally I will challenge my supervisees when necessary and guide them through the Ethical Framework if needed to protect them and/or their clients. In summary, the supervision that I provide hopes to equip supervisees with everything they need to enhance their theoretical knowledge, raise their self-awareness, and strengthen their practice.

I am currently providing supervision online via Google Meet. I may also be able to provide in-person supervision via Home Visits if the distance between myself and my supervisees is not too far.

My first session

In our first session together we will spend the hour getting to know each other and discuss our working styles so that we can start to build a supportive and collaborative supervisor-supervisee relationship.

Your first session is a chance to ask questions and explore what you want your supervision to look like moving forwards.

Supervision is not only a BACP ethical requirement, it is a safe space to bring your clinical work and explore key themes that come up for yourself and your client. In an open and supportive environment we will work in-line with the BACP Ethical Framework and the Supervision Competence Framework to ensure that you can reflect upon the therapeutic work with your clients and take the right steps to ensure that your practice develops you as a practitioner and continues to meet the needs and goals of your client, who is at the heart of our conversations.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi there! My name is Hayley and I am a therapist who specialises in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. As well as this I am a qualified Counselling Supervisor working with adult supervisees who work therapeutically with CYP, adults, and couples.

I am passionate about giving a voice to my clients and am dedicated to ensuring that they feel valued and respected throughout their time in therapy and are given the opportunities to share their experiences freely and feel heard and listened to.

As an Integrative therapist I work Humanistically and centre my practice around:

  • Person-Centred therapy
  • Solution-Focused therapy
  • Creative and Play therapy when her clients seek a more activity-based approach.
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Gestalt therapy
  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy techniques/principles
  • Family therapy

Nevertheless, although the approach we use in therapy is important, the therapeutic relationship between you and myself is at the centre. I will ensure that you feel safe and comfortable in our sessions. I provide all of my clients with a safe and supportive therapeutic space to talk about their experiences and express their thoughts and feelings freely and without judgement. Sessions are catered to my clients' age and stage of development, individual needs, and goals for therapy.

Practice description

I have been providing one-to-one therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and families for over 8 years.

I am fully equipped to deal with safeguarding concerns that might arise in counselling work. I work in-line with all relevant policies, procedures and statutory guidance required to protect children and young people from harm.

I am currently working towards my Accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) (February 2026-August 2026)

Having worked in schools for over 8 years, I have wealth of theoretical knowledge and practical experience working in a supportive role with neurodivergent individuals. I myself am neurodivergent and have first-hand experience of the challenges this can bring and recognise how easy it is to focus on the deficits. Therefore, when working with neurodivergent clients I supports them to validate their emotions and process the experiences they found difficult; yet an integral part of my neurodivergent-affirming practice is to help clients recognise their many strengths and talents so to develop their sense of belonging, self-worth and confidence.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and therefore follow the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, including respecting confidentiality. My BACP registration number is 381360. To further ensure I am practicing safely, I have indemnity insurance and fortnightly supervision.

My first session

In our first session together we will explore together what you need from therapy and any goals you might want to set for yourself. We will go through contracting and my role as a therapist to adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework.

During my work with children, adolescents and families I will have the first session with the CYP, and then usually have a follow-up conversation with parents to discuss limits of confidentiality, yet that their child's space is there's to use in whatever way they need to and I will only discuss their sessions, with their child's consent.
