About me and my therapy practice
I see supervision as a collaborative space for curiosity, reflection and growth, where you can explore your work openly and develop greater trust in your own judgement and experience. I value authenticity and the therapeutic relationship, and I believe good supervision offers both a place to feel supported and a space to be thoughtfully challenged. My role is to work alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences and develop a way of working that feels genuinely your own.
I am based in Hammersmith, West London (W6), with in-person and online supervision available. Supervision frequency is agreed collaboratively and will depend on your circumstances, stage of practice and caseload. Sessions may be fortnightly or, where appropriate, every four weeks.
Finding the right supervisor matters, so I welcome an initial conversation to see whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.
Practice description
I offer warm, thoughtful and collaborative supervision, grounded in the values and principles of the Person-Centred Experiential (PCE-CfD) approach. I see supervision as a space to think openly about your work, explore the therapeutic relationship and develop greater confidence in your own way of practising.
While my supervisor training is rooted in PCE-CfD, my original training and experience as an integrative counsellor give me a broader perspective. I enjoy working with practitioners who draw on different therapeutic approaches and exploring how different perspectives can inform our understanding of the client and the therapeutic relationship. I don't see supervision as fitting your work into one particular model; instead, I want to support you in developing a way of working that feels authentic to you, while remaining grounded in your own approach.
My experience spans both NHS Talking Therapies and private practice. I understand the realities of working within structured, outcome-focused services, as well as the different opportunities and challenges that come with longer-term therapeutic work in private practice. Wherever you are working, I am interested in helping you navigate the demands of your setting while staying connected to your therapeutic values and the needs of your clients.
I believe good supervision involves support and thoughtful challenge. I want you to feel able to bring uncertainty, difficult moments and things that haven't gone as expected, without fear of judgement. Together, we can be curious about what is happening in the work - the therapeutic relationship, your responses to clients and the use of self.
I enjoy working with practitioners at all stages of their professional development. For trainees, supervision can provide a space to build confidence and develop their professional identity. For more experienced practitioners, it offers an opportunity to reflect on established ways of working, explore new perspectives and continue to develop.
My first session
I enjoy working with trainee and qualified counsellors working with individual clients, particularly those practising from PCE-CfD, person-centred or integrative approaches. My experience spans both NHS Talking Therapies and private practice, so I welcome practitioners working in a range of therapeutic settings, including both time-limited and longer-term work.
What You Can Expect From Supervision
A space to think freely - bring your questions, uncertainties and experiences without judgement.
Support and thoughtful challenge - encouragement alongside gentle challenge to broaden your thinking.
Collaborative reflection - time to explore your therapeutic relationships, responses and use of self.
Respect for your way of working - your approach, experience and developing therapeutic voice are valued.
Ongoing development - support to build confidence, deepen your practice and trust your own clinical judgement.

About me and my therapy practice
My name is Sue and I welcome you to my page. I hold huge love and commitment in working alongside people to empower them in looking at events in their lives which may have been overwhelming or distressing and can happen to anyone at any time.
Sometimes life can leave us feeling stuck, not knowing where to turn. Distressing events can fill us with fear in taking the next step. Feeling confused and overwhelmed can unexpectedly stop us in our tracks. Whatever your challenge, my approach is to offer an honest, trusting relationship within which to accompany you through your difficulties to regain your confidence in finding your way to a better place in life.
I offer counselling face-to-face or by Zoom. If you are looking for support, we can begin our exploration together by contacting me to arrange a free 20 minute conversation over the phone.
Practice description
I am a qualified integrative counsellor. I embody the person-centred philosophy and psychodynamic ideals but am not limited to these approaches. I enjoy working with clients in ways that acknowledge and respect everyone's individuality and preferences.
I have the fullest commitment to offering a service which is welcoming to all backgrounds in a supportive and non-discriminatory manner.
Taking that first step can often feel daunting but I am here to guide you through the process of discovering what feels right for you. My invitation is for you to explore your difficulties together, with me.
My first session
It's very important to me that you are comfortable and feel as though you are making the right choice when deciding to work with me. This is why I offer the opportunity for you to contact me so we can book a time which works for both of us to have a free 20 minute phone call. You will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have to help you decide if you'd like us to work together.
If all goes well, we would then arrange to meet for an assessment session of up to one hour. The purpose of this is to gain a comprehensive picture of your health, history, what is bringing you to counselling and why now. This will help us to explore together which aspects you would like to focus on and how we may work together to help you achieve your aims.
If we choose to start our journey together, then we'll discuss our working agreement which includes details such as the day, time and initial number of sessions, confidentiality, session fees and cancellation policy.
After that, in most cases, sessions will be held on the same day and time each week and with sessions being 50 minutes long.
