About me and my therapy practice

I'm a BACP-registered person-centred counsellor and qualified supervisor, offering a safe, reflective space where you can grow in confidence, deepen your self-awareness, and develop your own therapeutic voice. With over 700 hours of client work and a strong academic background including a BSc in Psychology, PG Cert, Diploma, and MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a Level 6 in Counselling Supervision. I bring both practical experience and academic understanding to our work together.

In my full-time role as a Lecturer and Programme Lead, I work closely with trainee counsellors every day. I understand the demands of placement, academic pressures, and the emotional journey of becoming a therapist. I offer supervision that is attuned to your stage of development, your training requirements, and your unique way of working.

My counselling experience spans a wide range of settings, including helplines, sixth form colleges, GP surgeries, private practice, staff counselling, and more recently, therapeutic work on a children’s hospital ward. I also work with both adults and young people.

If you're looking for a supervisor who is warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about supporting trainees on their path to becoming skilled, ethical, and grounded practitioners, I’d love to hear from you.

Practice description

In my supervision practice, I use the Seven-Eyed Model, which offers a rich, holistic way of exploring all aspects of the therapeutic process including client dynamics, therapist responses, and the wider context of your work. This approach supports deep reflection and ensures that nothing important gets missed, helping you feel more confident and grounded in your practice.

While my own counselling approach is person-centred, I have a strong understanding of a variety of therapeutic models and respect the diverse ways trainees are trained to work. I believe that the core humanistic values; empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard are just as vital in supervision as they are in therapy.

My aim is to offer a space that feels secure, collaborative, and non-judgmental, where you feel safe to explore your work, your doubts, and your growth. I hope to model the kind of relationship that encourages openness, curiosity, and learning so you can become the therapist you desire to be.

My first session

I feel the relationship is of the utmost importance for a supervisory role therefore, I offer a free 20 minute consultation so we can get to know one another before deciding to work together. In the consultation I would love to know a little more about you, how you work and what you’d like from supervision.
