About me and my therapy practice
I offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors and psychotherapists from a range of therapeutic modalities, as well as other professionals in the helping professions. I also supervise trainee and qualified supervisors, providing a reflective space to explore both the supervisory relationship and the wider clinical context of their work.
I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience across healthcare, nursing, psychotherapy and supervision. Alongside my private practice, I contribute to counsellor education as a Visiting Lecturer at the Cornwall Counselling Institute.
My approach to supervision is rooted in the Person-Centred Approach and informed by relational, psychodynamic and existential thinking. I aim to create a collaborative relationship where you feel safe to bring every aspect of your work—uncertainties, ethical dilemmas, emotional responses, mistakes, successes and moments of stuckness—without fear of judgement.
Together we can reflect deeply on your client work, explore the therapeutic relationship, and consider unconscious processes such as transference and countertransference where these offer helpful understanding.
I have a particular interest in creating supervisory relationships where shame can be spoken about safely. Many therapists hesitate to disclose uncertainty, mistakes or powerful emotional responses for fear of criticism or appearing inadequate. I believe supervision should be a place where these experiences can be explored with curiosity, compassion and openness, allowing shame to deepen reflection rather than restrict learning and growth.
Alongside supporting ethical and effective practice, my hope is that supervision nurtures your confidence, creativity and professional identity.
Supervision is available weekly, fortnightly or monthly, with options for ongoing, short-term or one-off consultations, including cover when your regular supervisor is unavailable.

My first session
I offer a free initial online consultation because choosing a supervisor is an important professional decision. This first meeting gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, discuss your practice, your current supervision needs, and what you're looking for from a supervisory relationship.
It's also a chance for you to ask questions about how I work and to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me. Equally, it helps us decide together whether we feel we can build a supervisory relationship that is supportive, reflective and professionally enriching.
There is no obligation to continue after our first meeting. If we decide to work together, we'll agree on a way of working that best supports your practice, your development and your ethical responsibilities.
I offer reduced fees for trainee counsellors.

About me and my therapy practice
Unsure whether I'm the right therapist for you?
Choosing a therapist is an important decision, which is why I offer a free initial online consultation with no obligation to continue. It gives us the opportunity to meet, talk about what has brought you to therapy, and decide together whether we feel we can work well together.
I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience across healthcare, nursing and psychotherapy. Alongside my private practice, I provide clinical supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors and contribute to counsellor education as a Visiting Lecturer at the Cornwall Counselling Institute.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma, work-related stress, or living with the effects of painful childhood experiences. You may simply feel that life has become difficult and you're not sure why.
Many people also carry a quiet sense of shame or of somehow not being good enough. Therapy can provide a safe, accepting space to explore these experiences with compassion rather than judgement.
My work is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you with empathy, honesty and curiosity, helping you make sense of your experiences, deepen your understanding of yourself, and discover your own strengths and direction.
I work on an appointment-by-appointment basis, so there is no expectation of long-term commitment. Whether you come for a few sessions or longer-term therapy, my hope is that you will feel genuinely heard, understood and supported as we work together.
Practice description
I provide online psychotherapy by secure video or telephone throughout the UK and internationally. Sessions last 60 minutes and take place in a confidential, accepting and non-judgemental environment where you can speak openly at your own pace.
You don't need to have everything worked out before coming to therapy. Some people arrive with a clear understanding of what they want to explore, while others simply know that life feels difficult and want help making sense of their thoughts, feelings or relationships. Both are equally welcome.
My work is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach, which means I won't tell you how to live your life or offer quick solutions. Instead, I work alongside you with empathy, honesty and curiosity, trusting that, given the right conditions, people have a remarkable capacity for growth and change.
Where it feels helpful, we may gently explore how earlier experiences and important relationships continue to influence your life today. My aim is always to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen self-compassion, and move towards living in a way that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
I work on an appointment-by-appointment basis, so there is no expectation that you commit to a fixed number of sessions. Some people benefit from short-term therapy, while others prefer longer-term work.
I also offer reduced fees for trainee counsellors.

Many people are surprised to find that simply being listened to with care and without judgement can feel therapeutic in itself, and some leave the first session with a greater sense of clarity or hope.
There is absolutely no obligation to continue after our first meeting. If we decide to work together, we'll agree on a way of working that feels right for you. If not, I hope you'll still leave feeling heard and supported in taking your next step.
