About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision with an integrative viewpoint drawing from my qualifications and experience in psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT modalities. I have training and experience in offering both individual and group supervision to both experienced and trainee counsellors.

Supervision is an essential aspect of working as a counsellor or psychotherapist. It is a collaborative, non-judgmental space where we can think curiously about the client work, as well as our own experience and interactions. In this way we care for both our clients and ourselves, as well as ensure appropriate safeguarding where necessary.

The ability to be transparent, authentic and brave allows for supervision to be a growing, safe space where we develop our best therapeutic and ethical practice.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe that therapy is as individual and unique as the client attending. Therapy can only be meaningful and transformative if it fits into the context of one's own self-identity, values and beliefs.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective, specialising in both single-incident and complex trauma, as well as supporting neurodivergent individuals. My practice is integrative, drawing primarily on psychodynamic, person-centred, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), alongside eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).

Additionally, I can offer a safe, collaborative space to work with intrusive thoughts, specific phobias, or compulsive behaviours.

Working with both individuals and couples, we will explore the patterns, experiences, and relationships that inform and shape your distress at your own pace, helping you move toward meaningful change.

Practice description

When we begin working together, we will take time to explore your context—including your life experiences, relationship dynamics, and personal values. From there, we will build a shared understanding of the self and consider useful goals and processes tailored toward achieving your wished-for outcomes.

All of our work together is grounded in and guided by your own unique values, needs, and cultural perspectives, ensuring that therapy remains a collaborative and meaningful process moving at a pace that suits you.

My first session

During our first session I may take some information from you. Privacy and confidentiality is of utmost importance and you will be handed a copy of our Privacy & Confidentiality Statement.

We will consider your reasons for coming to therapy, what your hopes and goals are and how we can achieve these together. Together we will agree on a therapeutic plan, time period and fee rate.

It is important that this assessment session is meaningful to you and offers answers and clarification to any questions or concerns you might have.
