Availability

I currently have availability for new supervisees, both newly qualified and experienced therapists. I supervise humanistic, integrative and psychodynamic therapists.

I work Monday to Friday and have availability in the early morning, during the day and in the evening. Please get in touch and we can find a mutually suitable time.

About me and my therapy practice

Supervision is much more than case management. It is a space to reflect, grow and feel supported, so you can do your best work with your clients.

My own practice is grounded in relational psychoanalysis, and I bring that relational lens into supervision. I’m curious about what happens between you and your client, and between us in the supervision room, as these dynamics often tell us something important about the work. I use Hawkins and Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model as a framework, which lets us look at a client from different angles: the client’s story, your interventions, the relationship, what you are feeling and carrying, and the wider context you work in.

I aim to be warm, encouraging and honest. I hope you’ll feel safe enough to bring the sessions that went well and the ones that left you stuck, unsure or doubting yourself. Those are often where the richest learning happens. Alongside this, I hold the ethical and professional side of our work, including safeguarding, boundaries and working within the BACP Ethical Framework.

I have nearly a decade of clinical experience with individuals and couples, including work with war veterans and complex trauma. I come from a multicultural background and have lived in several countries. I’m particularly interested in how culture, identity, belonging and intergenerational experience shape both our clients and ourselves as therapists.

If you are newly qualified, I can help you build your clinical confidence and find your own way of working. If you are more experienced, supervision can be a space to think freshly, deepen your practice and look after yourself in what can be demanding work.

Practice description

I offer one-to-one supervision from my consulting room on Victoria Road in Surbiton, opposite Sainsbury’s, or online via Zoom if that works better for you.

We start with an initial conversation, which is a chance for us to meet and get a sense of whether we would work well together. You can tell me about your practice, your training and what you’re looking for in supervision. You can also ask me anything you’d like to know about how I work.

If we decide to go ahead, we’ll agree a supervision contract together. It covers how often we meet, fees, confidentiality, how we’ll handle any ethical or safeguarding concerns, and what each of us brings to the relationship. I find a clear contract gives us a secure base, and we can revisit it as your needs change.

Sessions can be arranged to meet the requirements of BACP or your training organisation. We can talk about frequency and length at the start, and adjust them as your caseload grows.

You can bring whatever feels most alive or pressing: a client you’re worried about, a session that stayed with you, an ethical dilemma, or questions about your own development and wellbeing as a therapist. You don’t need to arrive with everything neatly prepared. Sometimes the work starts with “I don’t quite know what I want to bring today,” and that is welcome too.

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist and work within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I have my own ongoing supervision and continue my professional development, including an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre.

My first session

Our first session is a chance for us to meet and see whether we would work well together. There is no pressure to commit, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with the person you’re bringing your work to.

I’ll ask about your training, your theoretical orientation, your current caseload and the settings you work in. We’ll also talk about what you’re hoping to get from supervision, what has worked well for you in previous supervision, and what hasn’t. You’re welcome to ask me anything too about the way I work.
