About me and my therapy practice
A Safe Harbour with a Lighthouse
Hello, and a warm welcome.
I think of supervision as a safe harbour with a lighthouse, a place to pause, reflect and make sense of the work, while shining a light on different perspectives and things that may be harder to see when we are close to them.
My approach is relational, reflective and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you can think openly, be curious about your work and bring uncertainty without feeling you need to have all the answers.
Together, we can look at the work through different lenses – the client, you as the therapist, the therapeutic relationship and the wider context surrounding the work.
I offer support alongside thoughtful challenge, helping you explore uncertainty, recognise your strengths and notice possible blind spots. There is space to acknowledge what is going well, as well as to think carefully about areas that may need further attention.
At the heart of my approach is supporting you to grow and develop as a practitioner, while keeping safe, ethical and compassionate practice at the centre of our work.
Practice description
What you can expect from supervision with me
I am a BACP-accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, currently completing a Diploma in Clinical Supervision and practising as a Clinical Supervisor in Training.
My experience also includes working as a Clinical Practitioner within Children’s Services, supporting practitioners to reflect on complex client work, safeguarding and risk, mental health concerns, and the emotional impact of their work through clinical consultation and reflective spaces.
In supervision, we can explore what your client is bringing, what may be happening within the therapeutic relationship and what the work may be evoking in you. We can consider interventions and different ways of working, alongside culture, identity, family, relationships and the wider systems surrounding the client.
There is also space to think about safeguarding and risk, ethical dilemmas, boundaries, professional development and your own wellbeing. Supervision is not only about what feels difficult; I believe it is equally important to recognise good practice, developing confidence and what is working well.
I think of supervision as a safe harbour with a lighthouse – somewhere to pause and reflect, while together we shine a light on different perspectives and possible blind spots. You remain at the helm of your own practice; my role is to think alongside you, support you and, where helpful, gently challenge you.
My first session
Starting our work together
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin shaping how we will work together. I will be interested in you as a practitioner, your experience, therapeutic approach, client work, what you hope to gain from supervision and how you reflect and learn best.
We will explore where you would value support, where you welcome challenge and where you would like to grow. Together, we will create our supervision agreement, including confidentiality and its limits, safeguarding and risk, ethical responsibilities, boundaries, any professional or training requirements, and the practicalities of our work together.
Most importantly, we will begin creating a relationship where you can bring uncertainty, difficult client material and things you may not yet have answers to, while also recognising your strengths and what is going well in your practice.
You don't need to arrive with everything figured out. Supervision is a space where we can think, reflect and make sense of the work together.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and a warm welcome. I believe that healing begins with compassion and understanding.
I am a warm, compassionate and approachable Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, dedicated to helping people heal from emotional and psychological pain and suffering.
Whatever has brought you to therapy, I want to help you make sense of your experiences, reduce emotional distress, and make positive changes or personal growth.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you're overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, carrying the impact of past experiences, or facing relationship difficulties, you don't have to face it alone.
Life is a journey with many seasons, each bringing its own ups and downs, expected and unexpected changes, and unique transitions. It can help to have someone alongside you as you navigate them.
It would be a privilege to walk alongside you for part of your journey.
"You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them." – Maya Angelou
"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us." – David Richo
I bring over 15 years of professional experience working with individuals, families and adults across Local Authority services, the NHS, CAMHS, charitable organisations, and project management involving consultancy, training and direct support. Over the past 5 years, I have worked as a qualified therapist, supporting adults, families and professionals with trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, loss, cultural issues and life transitions.
I have a particular interest in working with adults affected by difficult childhood experiences and supporting parents who wish to strengthen relationships with their children and break patterns of generational trauma.
I look forward to meeting you.
Practice description
Explore. Understand. Change.
These three words sit at the heart of the way I work.
I offer integrative counselling and psychotherapy for adults and couples. I do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person is unique, so I tailor the way I work to your individual needs, experiences and goals.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT-informed and relational ways of working. My approach is trauma-informed, which means I am mindful of how past experiences may continue to shape how you feel, think and relate in the present.
My work is relational and holistic. Together, we'll create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences with curiosity and compassion, rather than criticism or self-blame.
My hope is that through our work together, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation, feel more empowered, and develop the confidence and practical tools to make the changes that are important to you.
Along the way, we'll work towards building emotional resilience, strengthening your relationships, and creating meaningful and lasting change that continues beyond the therapy room.
Alongside individual therapy, I work with couples who wish to improve communication, rebuild trust, strengthen their emotional connection, or navigate periods of conflict and change.
Couples sessions are 75 minutes, allowing both partners the time and space to feel heard and understood.
My first session
My First Session
I understand that starting therapy can feel both hopeful and daunting, so I aim to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
Before your first session, I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions about counselling, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and explore whether we feel like the right fit to work together.
If you decide to proceed, we will arrange an initial online assessment session. For individuals, this lasts 90 minutes and is charged at a flat rate of £110, regardless of the time of day. For couples, the assessment is conducted over two 75-minute sessions, with a total flat fee of £250, regardless of time of day.
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. We will explore what has brought you to therapy, your current situation, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once; we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
Together, we will also consider how we might work together going forward and whether short-term or longer-term therapy would best support your needs.
My aim is to offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, respected and understood from the very beginning.
