About me and my therapy practice
I am a supervisor, who works using a person centred approach. I have 5 years + experience working as a counsellor. Although fundamentally my training is person-centred, I do work integratively to support the needs of the individual. I have a wide variety of experience over the years which allows me to offer support with those working individually with both children & young people as well as adults. My area of specialism is working with trauma inc sexual abuse & complex mental health. I can however, work with a range of different issues.
It is important when choosing a supervisor, to chose the person you feel drawn to and who can support you in the ways you require. I am honest about my limits of proficiency & knowledge so if I feel I will not be the right fit, for which ever reason, I will politely address this so that you are not mislead.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues

About me and my therapy practice
I am a person centred therapist who curtails my work to suit the individual needs of the client, this may include working creatively or incorporating psycho education especially with trauma working.
My ways of working is to support clients with the space to understand and manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours through connecting mind, body, and soul rather than treating these separately.
Trauma is not what happens to us but what happens inside of us because of what has been experienced. The more you learn to understand yourself; the more you can embark on and embrace your journey of life.
I am also a EFT practitioner. EFT therapy is tapping therapy which works by tapping on the pressure points within the body to support the energy system within the body.
I offer walk and talk sessions, face to face sessions and remote sessions via telephone or zoom.
Practice description
I have experience of working with young people and adults working with a range of issues. I have most experience of working with trauma including rape and sexual abuse, as well as completed suicide, self esteem, loss, depression, anxiety, PTSD, parental difficulties and other day to day stresses people face in life.
I have experience of working with a range of clients, including a range of diversity and mental health and learning difficulties such as those who experience stress, psychosis, ADD, autism, bipolar, BPD
My first session
During the first session, I will go through a counselling assessment to ensure counselling and my way of working is the appropriate way of working for you before entering a counselling agreement.
If you are happy to proceed past the counselling assessment which allows me to also get background information and look into your goals of counselling, I will then go through the counselling agreement which will lay out the responsibilities we both have as client and counsellor within the therapeutic relationship ( including fees, sessions, confidentiality, cancellations and if you do not attend etc).
