About me and my therapy practice
A pluralistic therapist is probably the best way of describing my practice. I am trained in Person-Centred (Post Grad) , Brief Solution Focus (Levels 1, 2 & 3) and Children and Young People (Level 5). My practice is also informed by Thought Field Therapy, Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP Levels 1 & 2) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT Foundation).
I am an accredited member of the BACP and have in excess of 9 years experience working with children and young people, adults and families across a range of sectors, including education, forensic services, charities, stepped care and occupational health.
My supervision work is shaped by the Seven Eyed Model to support reflective practice and deepen understanding of client work and the therapeutic process.
I am passionate about counselling, learning and supporting insight, reflection, and change for growth.
My costs vary as I pay a rental fee for a room (Chester city centre) when having face to face sessions.
Face to face: 1hr £65 & 1.5hrs £80
Online: 1hr £50 & 1.5hrs £70
Group: £20 each, minimum of 3
Student concessions available.
Practice description
My passion, warmth and genuine curiosity is what supports my ability to build quick and meaningful therapeutic relationships with people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
I know how important it is to be heard, understood and supported in what can otherwise feel like isolating and sometimes fear inducing work. My approach to supervision is collaborative and restorative. I provide a non-judgemental space to think, reflect, and grow in ethical and professional practice, without losing focus on what sustains you and your chosen modality.
In getting to know you, I will take in to consideration your counselling journey, modality and expertise when working and thinking together. In support of this, I will use the Seven Eyed Model of supervision to explore the intersubjectivity of relationships, how your modality informs your awareness of your client and your approach/interventions/formulation.
I truly love supervision work and I am passionate about developing awareness, knowledge and practice in support of our clients.
If the possibility of working with me interests you then I look forward to hearing from you.
