About me and my therapy practice

I am so passionate about working with children and young people and I love and respect the work we as Therapeutic Counsellors carry out. Over the last 10 years I have witnessed firsthand the difference a positive therapeutic relationship can have on our young people and am also fully aware of the effect this can have on us the counsellors both physically and psychologically.  Currently I am furthering my skill set by completing a CPD on Somatic Therapy, which I feel would enhance my Supervisory offer and benefit my supervisee colleagues.

My main objective as a Supervisor is to support and enhance your practice while helping you maintain your wellbeing. Alongside this I keep fully up to date on safeguarding laws relating to children and young people. As a trained Neurodiverse Counsellor I strongly believe each individual's uniqueness is an asset in Supervision, which alongside mindfulness training enhances my practice.

My Supervision practice is embedded in the 7-eyed model of Supervision interlaced with the proctor model, emphasising education, ethics, and restoration throughout

Practice description

I'm a qualified clinical supervisor (CPCAB), registered and accredited with the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP), who practices on line, face to face and outdoors

Before the initial session, you will receive information including a form, which must be completed before the initial meeting outlining how the sessions are structured, including confidentiality limits and payment details. The first meeting (20 min Free of change) will introduce us and agree the setting. I believe this space allows us the opportunity to feel if we are a good match and if we can adopt a professional working alliance allowing us to go forward and create a strong theraputic relationship, which I know is the key to sucesss.

My first session

Sessions are scheduled for 1 hour and each session is structured to address individual requirements. The initial session provides an opportunity to assess compatibility and determine how you would like to work going forward. The 7 eyed model of supervision encompasses multiple facets of the my counselling practice. I work mindfully, with compassion and warmth. I hope to be your safe space as you journey through this wonderful career. My approach is intended to support you while holding a safe and progressive space for your client
