I am currently training as a creative counselling supervisor and am offering sessions at £30 per hour or £40 for 1.5 hours while training.

About me and my therapy practice

My counselling qualification is integrative (Level 7 Northampton University), and I aim to adapt my counselling and supervision sessions to meet the needs of clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.   I am trained in trauma and EMDR as well as the use of creative approaches, and neurodiversity (e.g., ADHD/ASD) is one of my specialisms.  To obtain maximum benefit from our supervision sessions it would be helpful if you are willing to have a go at simple creative techniques - I will provide the way forward for these activities.

COUNSELLING/SUPERVISION APPROACH

• Integrative – Psychodynamic, CBT, Person Centred, Creative, Somatic

• Specialisms – Trauma, Neurodiversity, EMDR, Spiritual

• Adults, affordable counselling

Practice description

My training is focused on the CRAFTS model - below is a summary.

1. The CRAFTS model uses the following concepts to validate your unique approach to counselling and the relationship between you and your clients, and you and your supervisor (me).

• Creativity - may be used, for example, art materials, imagery, colours, and metaphors to help us consider your counselling relationships and our relationship, helping us clarify ‘what is going on here?’

• Reflective Practice - to encourage in-depth thinking about and examination of sessions, considering what went well and gently identifying areas for improvement in a supportive way.

• Awareness: Increases awareness of self, parallel processes, transference, and countertransference, often in alignment with the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision - .

• Focus: To ensure we have an ethical, therapeutic relationship where we actively work towards identifying your learning needs and managing difficult issues occurring inside and outside of sessions

• Transformation: Asking – what are the main points emerging from our session, and how can we apply them to your personal and professional development?

• Systemic Thinking: ‘No person is an island’, therefore we acknowledge the importance of the influence of others and their environment on each individual

About me and my therapy practice

Have you been feeling stressed or overwhelmed?  Perhaps you are feeling anxious or down, or maybe you are struggling with certain relationships?   Possibly you're not sleeping/eating well?  Life circumstances can have this effect on us.   Talking things through with me in a safe, confidential space while working at your own pace can reduce these feelings and give you back a sense of control.   I am supportive and compassionate and can help you to see aspects of your situation you haven't already considered.   I aim to adapt my approach to everyone's unique wishes, needs and circumstances.   For example, I can offer you the opportunity to work creatively and/or look at past experiences or how you think and feel in 'the here and now'.   I am trained to use different methods, e.g., person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic approaches, according to what might give you the most benefit.  My training also includes positive psychotherapy where we focus on your key strengths and build on these to help boost resilience and self-esteem.   I can also offer help with your spiritual journey if you would find that useful.
