I'm Frank, a person-centred therapist and clinical supervisor. I work in-person in Leeds on Tuesdays and in-person in Ilkley on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as online on those days and others through the week.
About me and my therapy practice
Alongside offering therapy, I'm a qualified supervisor available to offer clinical supervision. I hold a Certificate in Counselling Supervision and practice using the seven-eyed model of supervision. I work in private practice with adult clients, so I have a particular interest in supporting private practitioners.
My goal in supervision is to create a space for us to think collaboratively about your client work, where you feel safe and trusting enough to share openly and non-defensively. At the heart of supervisory work is bringing our shared focus to your clients and what they are experiencing, as well as how you might be processing or affected by what you hear. I want to bring your attention not just to how you work with client issues, but why: your rationale, your understanding of yourself as a practitioner and your direction of travel. The seven-eyed model allows us to use our relational experience in supervision for the benefit of client work as well: how you present to me – and me to you – matters and might prove fruitful for deepening your understanding of your work.
If you're a qualified therapist who'd like to work with me, please get in touch. If you're a therapist in training, we'll need to check with your training institution that I am a good fit, and then we'd be able to proceed.
My first session
I charge £60 per hour for supervision, with concessions available. If you'd like to find out more, I suggest an initial call of 20-30 minutes, free of charge, for us to discuss your supervision needs and to give you a chance to ask me any questions you may have and for me to gain a sense of where you're at in your work.

I am currently available to work both in-person (at my practices in Ilkley and in Leeds) and remotely (over Zoom and telephone). Please get in touch for availability.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m Frank, a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
Is there something troubling or upsetting you, a part of your life you find yourself unable to ignore or make sense of? Perhaps you’re feeling as though happiness and fulfilment are somehow out of reach, or you’re struggling with longer-term challenges, such as stress, anxiety, low mood or depression. All of these issues, and more, can be addressed in counselling.
I offer space and time in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment to allow you to discuss problems and difficult feelings or experiences and aid you in finding a way forwards. Together we work to understand you better and make positive changes in your life.
I spent over a decade working as a writer and an editor, and, at heart, i’m passionate about what it means to be human, with all the messiness, uncertainty and challenges that entails. Therapy can be a space to tell and own your story, to take the pieces that don’t seem to add up and find a new way to fit them together. It can also be a place to let go of the things that no longer serve you, to start on a new chapter in your life.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I aim to help adults of all ages and backgrounds with a range of issues.
Practice description
My fee is £60 per session. Sessions can be in-person at The Grove in Ilkley or Evolve in Leeds, or offered remotely, via Zoom or the telephone.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and takes place weekly at the same time. I do also offer fortnightly sessions, but I recommend starting with six weekly sessions to build our working relationship.
I see clients both during the day and in the evening and will try to accommodate you at the earliest possibility. I also am able to offer some concessionary rate sessions – please ask if you think this might apply to you.
My first session
In my first session I carry out a brief assessment, so that I can get a better sense of you and you of me. Otherwise, the session is the same as any other: a space for you to explore what’s troubling you.
