About me and my therapy practice

As a BACP Accredited Counsellor and qualified Clinical Supervisor, I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable reflecting openly on your practice, exploring challenges and developing your confidence as a therapist.

I work with trainee, newly qualified and experienced counsellors, whether you're working online, face-to-face or developing your own private practice. I believe supervision should be a collaborative relationship where you feel listened to, valued and supported, while also having the opportunity to explore new perspectives and develop your skills.

My approach is integrative, drawing on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision developed by Hawkins and Shohet. This allows us to explore your client work from different perspectives, including the therapeutic relationship, your interventions and your own emotional responses. I also welcome creativity, mindfulness and somatic awareness within our sessions where appropriate.

Having developed my own private practice, I understand the challenges of balancing client work, administration and personal commitments. I can support you with practical aspects of running your practice, maintaining professional boundaries, managing your caseload and recognising the importance of self-care.

Together, we can explore ethical dilemmas, challenging client presentations and how to apply theory confidently in practice. I encourage reflection, curiosity and gentle challenge, always keeping client wellbeing and the BACP Ethical Framework at the heart of our work.

My qualifications include Advanced Level Supervision, Level 5 Counselling Practitioner, Three-Phase Trauma training and TA101.

Above all, I want supervision to be a space where you feel safe to be yourself, celebrate your achievements and explore areas where you may need additional support.

I offer daytime and evening supervision, online or face-to-face at my practice in Essex.

Please contact me for trainee and newly qualified counsellor rates.

Practice description

My Approach to Supervision

As a Clinical Supervisor, I draw on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which provides a supportive and reflective framework for exploring your therapeutic work.

This approach allows us to look at your client work from different perspectives, helping you gain a deeper understanding of your clients, the therapeutic relationship and the processes that may be taking place within your sessions.

Together, we can reflect on your interventions, explore any challenges or uncertainties, and consider how your own thoughts, feelings and experiences may influence your work with clients.

I believe supervision should be a collaborative, supportive and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable discussing both your successes and the areas you may be finding difficult.

My aim is to encourage your personal and professional development, build your confidence in your clinical judgement and support you in developing greater self-awareness, while keeping your clients' wellbeing and ethical practice at the heart of our work.

Whether you are a trainee counsellor or an experienced practitioner, I aim to tailor our supervision sessions to your individual needs, helping you feel supported, valued and encouraged as you continue to develop your practice.

My first session

Our first supervision session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what you would like to gain from supervision. I understand that starting with a new supervisor can sometimes feel a little daunting, particularly if you are a trainee counsellor or are new to supervision. My aim is to create a warm, relaxed and supportive environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about your practice.

Together, we will explore your experience, the therapeutic approaches you use and any areas where you feel you would benefit from additional support, guidance or professional development.

We will discuss what you hope to achieve from our sessions, how you prefer to work and how I can best support you. This may include building confidence, developing your therapeutic skills, exploring challenging client presentations or gaining a deeper understanding of the therapeutic relationship.

I use the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which encourages us to reflect on your client work from different perspectives, including your own thoughts, feelings and responses. This can help you gain valuable insight into your practice and develop greater confidence in your clinical decisions.

I believe supervision should be a collaborative relationship where you feel safe enough to explore uncertainties, ask questions and reflect honestly, without fear of judgement. I also recognise the importance of gentle challenge and constructive feedback in supporting professional growth.

During our first session, we will discuss our supervision agreement, confidentiality, professional responsibilities and how we can work together in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Above all, I want you to feel listened to, valued and supported, knowing that supervision is a space for your learning, reflection and development, while always keeping your clients' wellbeing at the heart of our work.

About me and my therapy practice

About Me

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and qualified Clinical Supervisor with a genuine passion for understanding people, their life experiences and how these can shape the way we think, feel and relate to others.

I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, valued and accepted without judgement. I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, especially when you're going through a difficult time or are unsure where to begin. My aim is to offer a warm, friendly and relaxed space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, knowing you will be listened to with empathy, kindness and understanding.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I recognise that no two people are the same. I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Inner Child work, adapting my approach to suit your individual needs.

I have a particular interest in how our past experiences, childhood relationships and learned patterns of behaviour can influence the way we see ourselves and interact with others today. Together, we can gently explore these patterns, helping you develop greater self-awareness, confidence and understanding of yourself.

For me, counselling is about building a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel supported rather than judged. I won't tell you what to do, but I will work alongside you, helping you explore your feelings, recognise your strengths and find ways forward that feel right for you.

Above all, I believe that even small changes can make a meaningful difference to our emotional wellbeing and how we experience life.

Practice description

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor, offering a warm, friendly and non - judgemental space where you can feel comfortable exploring whatever may be troubling you.

I believe that everyone is unique, which is why I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person - Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA) and Inner Child work, helping you gain a greater understanding of yourself and how past experiences may influence your thoughts, feelings and behaviours today.

I have a particular interest in anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Together, we can explore unhelpful patterns, develop healthier ways of coping and build the confidence to make positive changes in your life.

My approach is collaborative and supportive, working at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling, allowing you to feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted.

I offer flexible online counselling to adults throughout the UK and am an accredited member of both the BACP and NCPS.

My first session

Our first session

I understand that taking the first step towards counselling can sometimes feel a little daunting, especially if you have never had counselling before or you're unsure where to begin. It's perfectly natural to feel nervous, and my aim is to help you feel welcomed, comfortable and at ease from the moment we first meet.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling. You may have something specific you would like to work through, or perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious or simply know that something doesn't feel quite right. Whatever your reason for reaching out, we can begin by making sense of things together.

I'll invite you to share a little about yourself, your experiences and what you are hoping to gain from counselling. There is no expectation for you to tell me everything in our first session. We will take things at your pace, and you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Together, we will explore what you would like to achieve and agree on realistic, manageable goals that feel meaningful to you. We can then look at how best to work towards these, using a therapeutic approach that suits your individual needs.

We will also talk through how counselling works, confidentiality and what you can expect from our sessions. Most importantly, this is your opportunity to ask questions and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.

I believe that building a trusting relationship is at the heart of counselling. My role is not to judge you or tell you what you should do, but to listen, understand and support you as you develop greater self-awareness, confidence and healthier ways of managing life's challenges.

Thinking about taking that first step?
