I am currently accepting new supervisees.
I offer supervision to qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, trainees, and practitioners from related helping professions.
Supervision is available:
In person in London and Cardiff
Online throughout the UK
By telephone where appropriate
I offer both ongoing and ad hoc supervision for individuals, with appointments available Mondays-Thursdays.
If you're considering working together, I welcome an initial conversation to explore your practice, what you're looking for from supervision, and whether we feel like a good fit.
About me and my therapy practice
Supervision offers a space to think together about your clinical work, your development as a practitioner, and the therapeutic relationships you hold. I see supervision as a collaborative, relational process that supports both your clients and your wellbeing as a therapist.
My approach is relational and integrative, shaped by curiosity, openness and thoughtful dialogue. I aim to create a supervisory relationship where you feel able to bring not only the work that feels successful, but also uncertainty, complexity, mistakes and the emotional impact of practice. Together we can reflect on what is happening for your clients, what may be happening within you, and what may be emerging between us in the supervisory relationship itself.
I welcome conversations about identity, difference, power, privilege and intersectionality, and strive to offer a supervision space that is affirming of diversity in all its forms, including neurodiversity, gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.
Rather than applying theory rigidly, I work collaboratively to find approaches that best support you and your clients.
Alongside clinical thinking, I encourage reflection on ethical practice, self-awareness, use of self, professional identity and sustainable ways of working. Whether you are a trainee, newly qualified or experienced practitioner, I hope supervision with me feels both supportive and appropriately challenging, enabling you to grow in confidence, competence and authenticity.
Practice description
Whether you're a trainee, newly qualified therapist or an experienced practitioner, supervision offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and think deeply about your work. Alongside supporting safe and ethical practice, I see supervision as a place where you can continue developing your clinical confidence, professional identity and capacity for thoughtful, relational practice.
I offer supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists and practitioners from related helping professions. Sessions are available in person in London (Islington) and Cardiff, as well as online throughout the UK.
As a relational integrative psychotherapist, I bring experience of working with individuals and couples from a wide range of backgrounds and presenting issues. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative, sex-positive and neurodiversity-affirming, and I strive to create a supervision space where difference is welcomed with curiosity and respect.
I appreciate that bringing our work to supervision can feel exposing. Alongside celebrating what is going well, I welcome uncertainty, self-doubt and those moments when we feel stuck or unsure. My hope is that supervision becomes a place where these experiences can be explored openly, without fear of judgement.
My supervisory practice is informed by relational integrative theory and underpinned by the ethical principles of the BACP Ethical Framework. I value collaboration over hierarchy and seek to balance support with thoughtful challenge, helping you deepen your understanding of your clients, yourself and the therapeutic process.
Choosing a supervisor is an important decision. If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, I'd be pleased to arrange an initial conversation so we can explore what you're looking for and whether my approach feels right for you.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether we feel like a good fit for an ongoing supervisory relationship.
We'll discuss your practice, the client groups you work with, your current experience, and what you're hoping for from supervision. We'll also consider practical matters such as frequency of sessions, record keeping, confidentiality, ethical responsibilities and the supervisory agreement.
I encourage you to ask questions about my approach and to consider whether it feels like the kind of supervisory relationship that will best support your development. Choosing a supervisor is an important decision, and I believe it should feel like a collaborative choice for both of us.
The first session is charged at my standard supervision fee. If we decide to continue working together, we will agree a supervision contract and begin building a supervisory relationship that supports your clients, your professional development and your wellbeing as a practitioner.

About me and my therapy practice
Discovery begins in connection—within yourself, with your story, and in relationship with another.
As a relational integrative therapist, I see the therapeutic relationship as central to the work we do together. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, rooted in curiosity, openness and compassion, where we explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to offer a warm, accepting and thoughtful space where you feel able to speak openly, make sense of difficult experiences, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to you. Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches allows me to respond flexibly to your needs, whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, questions of identity, the impact of past experiences, or a general sense that something no longer feels quite right.
I am a queer therapist and a committed LGBTQIA+ ally. As an autistic therapist with ADHD, I care deeply about creating an inclusive, affirming and accessible space for neurodivergent and neurotypical clients alike. I am also attentive to the ways culture, family, expectations and wider social systems can shape our experiences, relationships and sense of self.
My practice is sex-positive, and I welcome individuals, couples and people in diverse relationship structures. Whether you want to explore intimacy, communication, sexuality, identity or connection, you'll find a respectful, open and non-judgemental space.
I also welcome conversations about spirituality, faith and meaning where these are important to you.
Having experienced therapy myself, I understand the courage it takes to begin. My hope is that our work together offers a place where you feel genuinely heard and understood, deepen your understanding of yourself, and develop greater freedom, confidence and choice in how you live your life.
Practice description
I offer in-person therapy for adults and relationships from welcoming practice rooms in Holborn, the City of London and Highbury & Islington, as well as online sessions across the UK.
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step. You may be facing anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, life transitions, questions of identity, the impact of past experiences, or simply a sense that something doesn't feel quite right. You don't need to have everything worked out before you begin.
As a relational integrative therapist, I believe that meaningful change happens through the relationship we build together. Therapy is a collaborative process where we can slow things down, make sense of your experiences, and explore thoughts, feelings and patterns with curiosity and compassion. Rather than offering quick answers or trying to "fix" you, my role is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, discover new possibilities, and make choices that feel more authentic and sustainable.
I tailor therapy to each person, recognising that everyone arrives with their own story, strengths and challenges. Some clients prefer to reflect through conversation, while others find meaning through emotion, metaphor, silence or creativity. Together we will find an approach that feels right for you.
I am a queer therapist and an autistic therapist with ADHD. I strive to offer an inclusive, affirming and accessible space where LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent clients, and people from all backgrounds feel respected, understood and able to be themselves. My practice is also sex-positive, welcoming individuals, couples and people in diverse relationship structures.
Whether you come for a few months or longer-term therapy, my hope is that our work together provides a space where you feel genuinely heard, deepen your understanding of yourself, and move towards living with greater freedom, connection and self-acceptance.
My first session
If you're considering therapy, you're welcome to get in touch by email to arrange a free introductory phone conversation. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions, tell me a little about what has brought you to therapy, and get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you. If you'd prefer to communicate by email, that's absolutely fine too.
Before our first session, I'll invite you to complete my online working agreement. This explains how I work, outlines practical arrangements such as confidentiality and cancellations, and includes a few questions to help you begin reflecting on what you hope to gain from therapy.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and any questions or concerns you may have. There is no expectation that you arrive with everything worked out, and no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. We will work at a pace that feels right for you.
The first session is also a chance for both of us to consider whether we feel we can work well together. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process, and you're welcome to take time afterwards to decide whether you'd like to continue.
If we decide to work together, we'll usually agree a regular appointment time and begin building a therapeutic relationship that supports your individual needs and goals.

About me and my therapy practice
Discovery begins in connection—within yourself, with your story, and in relationship with another. You can explore more about me and my approach at www.markgr.co.uk
As a relational integrative therapist, I see the therapeutic relationship as central to the work we do together. Therapy with me is a collaborative process—rooted in mutual curiosity, openness, and mindfulness—where we explore your experience at a pace that feels right for you. I bring warmth, compassion, kindness, and gentle humour to our work, helping to create a space where trust can grow. Integrating different therapeutic perspectives allows me to respond flexibly to what you need in the moment, and together we make sense of what feels most alive, uncertain, or in need of care.
I’m a queer person and a committed LGBTQIA+ ally. As an autistic person with ADHD, I care deeply about making therapy inclusive, affirming, and accessible for all neurodiverse experiences. I’m also attentive to how systemic influences—like patriarchy—shape our lives, identities, and relationships, across all genders and backgrounds.
My practice is sex-positive, and I work with individuals and couples, including those in non-traditional relationship forms. I bring a respectful, open approach to conversations around intimacy, identity, and connection.
I’m also interested in spirituality in the broadest sense—how we make meaning, what gives us a sense of belonging, and where we find hope. I have experience working with clients from a wide range of spiritual or faith traditions, as well as those who are spiritually curious or hold no spiritual beliefs. What matters most is what’s meaningful to you.
Having received therapy at different points in my own life, I know its transformative power. With over 25 years’ experience supporting people through life’s complexities—grief, identity, transitions—I bring compassion, clarity, and deep respect to all I do.
Practice description
I am a relational integrative therapist. ‘Relational’ means I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work, recognising that meaningful change happens through the trust and collaboration we co-create. ‘Integrative’ reflects that I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Humanistic models—tailoring the work to your unique needs, preferences, and goals.
I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. Some clients arrive with clear aims; others are unsure where to begin, but know something needs care or attention. Both are valid places to start.
Therapy is not about giving advice. Instead, it’s a space for reflection, exploration, and change. I may offer perspectives or invitations, but always with respect for your autonomy. A therapist can be like a mirror—helping you see your life more clearly and supporting you in finding new possibilities.
You might express yourself through talking, silence, creativity, or metaphor. You don’t have to fit a mould. I welcome neurodivergent, queer, and culturally diverse clients, and aim to offer a space where your whole self can be met with curiosity and compassion. I also pay attention to how systems like patriarchy, racism, and other forms of inequality may shape your experience, and can hold space for this if relevant to you.
To deepen the work, it can be helpful to reflect between sessions—through journaling, notes, or creative means. The impact of therapy often grows in the spaces between.
Whether you have a clear direction or are simply feeling your way forward, we can work together at your pace and in a way that honours your story.
My first session
You're welcome to contact me for a free telephone conversation to ask questions and get a sense of me as a person. Some clients prefer to do this by email, which is also completely fine.
Your first paid session is an assessment—a space for us to explore whether working together feels right. For some, this is clear from the start; for others, it may take a few sessions, especially depending on what brings you to therapy.
Before we meet, I’ll invite you to complete an online working agreement via my website. This outlines the practicalities of how I work and offers a chance to reflect on what you may want from therapy. It’s designed to support mutual clarity and informed consent from the outset.
In our first session, we’ll go over this agreement and begin to explore what’s brought you here. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels safe. There’s no “right” way to begin—especially if you’re new to therapy. Some arrive with clear goals; others come with a feeling that something needs space or support.
You might express yourself through words, silence, images, metaphor, or movement. However you communicate, I aim to meet you with openness, curiosity, and respect. I work with adults of all ages, including those navigating therapy for the first time, and welcome clients across a wide range of identities and experiences—including queer, neurodivergent, and culturally diverse clients.
I pay attention to how systems like patriarchy, racism, ableism and other intersecting forms of power may shape your life and sense of self. Therapy with me includes space to reflect on these influences if you choose.
At the end of our first session, we’ll talk about whether you’d like to continue. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to take time before deciding.
Finding the right therapist can take time. Trust yourself—you’ll know when it feels like a good fit.
