About me and my therapy practice

I offer integrative supervision for counsellors at every stage of their professional journey — whether you are in training, on placement, working within an organisation, or building your own private practice.

At the heart of my approach is a focus on the therapeutic relationship you hold with your clients. My work is informed by the 7-Eyed Model of Supervision, allowing us to gently explore the many layers that can influence your client work — from the immediate relationship, to wider context, to your own internal responses as a practitioner.

I see supervision as a collaborative and supportive space — one that encourages reflection, curiosity and professional confidence. As therapists, we strive to offer our clients a safe, attentive and compassionate environment. I believe you deserve that same quality of space within supervision — somewhere you can think openly, feel supported, and be met without judgement.

Supervision can be a place to deepen your practice, strengthen your confidence, and stay connected to your ethical and professional values. It also plays an important role in sustaining you over time — helping to prevent burnout and support longevity in this work.

My intention is to offer a space that feels safe enough for honest exploration — where you can bring both your client work and your experience of yourself as a practitioner, including the more difficult or uncertain aspects, without fear or shame. From this place, we can work together to understand blocks, reconnect with your sense of empathy, and support you in showing up more fully and congruently in your client relationships.

I work with supervisees both online (nationally and internationally) and in person from my Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim practice.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Ross, an Integrative Counsellor, Therapeutic Coach and Clinical Supervisor based in North-West Ireland, working online with clients in the UK or worldwide, and in-person or walking therapy locally from Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland.

Between 2015-2020 I supported survivors and individuals at risk of suicide in a voluntary capacity. Since 2020 I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor and Coach through University of East London and established my private practice, MindFettle, supporting clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationships, identity, life transitions and personal growth.

My work integrates a range of evidence-informed approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Humanistic and Existential therapies, Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Personal Consultancy, tailoring the therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each client.

Alongside my counselling practice, I have recently qualified as a Clinical Supervisor and offer integrative supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists, drawing on the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) and the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. I am currently completing the supervised practice hours required for final certification.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I am Ross, an Integrative Counsellor and Coach.

As you take first tentative first steps, or are once again seeking support through a collaborative 1-2-1 process, perhaps you are wondering, why choose to work with me or what would this look like?

First and foremost, building a good working relationship within which we can feel secure exploring and facing your challenges together is essential.

Whatever you bring to counselling, I bring compassion and company for your journey and offer stability through a structured approach to the work.

We can begin with some exploration, an opportunity to share your experiences, increase awareness and understanding around these and reveal the nature of issues you are seeking to resolve. This can help validate or create a clear picture of change you might hope to achieve. By exploring the possible origins of any revealed issues, we can work together on how to reduce the impact or implement change for a better lived experience.

My approach is flexible and takes into consideration how you present for each session. This allows for suitable pace, pausing or stepping back if required. Moving towards any change is only by consent and with a full picture of what any change should look like for you.
