Availability

I work Monday to Friday and offer flexible appointment times, including early morning appointments from 7am.

For supervision, I understand that your role may sometimes require additional flexibility due to urgent situations, emergencies or escalations. Where possible, I am happy to accommodate this and arrange sessions around the demands of your role.

Supervision can be arranged on a regular, set day and time, or scheduled flexibly around your work commitments. We can discuss what arrangement would work best for you during our initial conversation.

About me and my therapy practice

I work from an integrative, trauma-informed approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic models and adapting my practice to each individual’s needs, experiences and goals. I believe there is no single approach that works for everyone, and I place the therapeutic relationship, collaboration and your individual experience at the heart of my work.

My trauma-informed practice focuses on creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can explore difficult experiences at your own pace. I recognise the impact trauma can have on the mind, body, relationships and sense of self, and work collaboratively to develop greater understanding, emotional regulation, self-awareness and choice.

I am committed to working ethically and responsibly in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality and ongoing reflective practice.

Alongside my therapeutic practice, I have completed the Groves Diploma in Supervision and now offer clinical supervision to counsellors and therapists. I provide a supportive, reflective and collaborative space to explore clinical work, therapeutic relationships, professional development, ethical considerations and challenges in practice.

My supervision is grounded in the belief that effective supervision should support both the practitioner and their clients. I aim to create a space where you can think openly, reflect deeply and develop confidence in your practice, while ensuring ethical and professional standards remain central.

I offer flexible supervision Monday to Friday, including appointments from 7am, with regular sessions or flexible arrangements around your role and workload. If you are looking for a warm, approachable and clinically focused supervisor, I would love to hear from you. Please get in touch for an initial conversation to see whether we might be a good fit.

Practice description

At The Sage Therapist, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. I work with adults, young people and adolescents experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm and life transitions.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you have never had counselling before. My aim is to make the process feel as comfortable and collaborative as possible. We will work together to understand what has brought you to therapy and identify what you would like to change, at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer sessions in person, by telephone or online, Monday to Friday, with early morning appointments available from 7am. I appreciate that life and work commitments can make it difficult to attend therapy, so I offer flexibility where possible.

Alongside therapy, I also provide clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists. Having completed the Groves Diploma in Supervision, I offer a supportive and reflective space to explore clinical practice, professional development, ethical considerations and the challenges that can arise in therapeutic work.

Whether you are considering therapy for yourself or looking for a supervisor, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation. There is no pressure to commit to ongoing sessions; it is an opportunity for us to talk about what you are looking for and consider whether we would be a good fit.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute enquiry call before booking your first supervision session. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your experience, your supervision needs and what you are looking for from a supervisor.

The call is also a chance for us to consider whether we would be a good fit and for you to ask any questions about my approach to supervision. I understand that finding the right supervisor is important, so there is no pressure or obligation to book ongoing sessions following the call.

If we decide that working together feels appropriate, we can arrange your first supervision session. This will provide an opportunity to explore your current practice, discuss your expectations and supervision needs, and begin developing a collaborative supervisory relationship.

I offer supervision that is supportive, reflective and clinically focused, with ethical practice and the BACP Ethical Framework at the centre of my work.

Therapist - Hook

Hook RG27

Sessions from £70.00

Features

Availability

I am currently open to accepting new clients.

I work Monday to Friday, offering appointments from early morning through to late afternoon.

I do offer a limited number of evening appointments, although these are often fully booked. You’re very welcome to enquire about availability.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support you in a way that feels appropriate to your individual needs.

My work is grounded in the understanding that many of the ways we cope, such as overthinking, holding things in, or putting others first, often develop for good reasons, shaped by our past experiences and relationships.

In our work together, we take time to explore what may be happening beneath the surface. This can include looking at attachment patterns, emotional responses, and the ways you have learned to protect yourself.

I work in a relational and collaborative way, offering a space that is non-judgemental, respectful, and at your pace. Alongside this, I may gently incorporate psychoeducation where it feels helpful, supporting you to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

My aim is to support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself, and to begin to find new ways of relating that feel more manageable and aligned with who you are.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, and it’s understandable to want to know what to expect.

I aim to offer a calm and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever feels important to you. There is no expectation to have everything figured out, and we can go at a pace that feels comfortable.

Sessions offer an opportunity to slow things down and begin to make sense of your experiences. This might include exploring patterns in relationships, emotional responses, or the impact of past experiences, but always in a way that feels manageable and contained.

I work with adults and young people (13+), and welcome enquiries from parents seeking support for their teenager. I aim to offer a space where young people can feel safe, understood, and able to express themselves in a way that feels right for them.

I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on what feels most helpful. If you would like to get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute initial call, which gives us the opportunity to briefly explore what you’re looking for and whether working together feels like the right fit.

If you decide to go ahead, the first full session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to talk about what has brought you to therapy. There is no expectation to share everything straight away, and we can go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I may ask some gentle questions to help me understand your current situation, your background, and what you would like support with, but this is always led by you.

The first session is charged at my standard rate, and there is no obligation to continue beyond this. You’re welcome to take time to reflect on whether the space feels right for you.
