About me and my therapy practice

With over 30 years experience of working as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with students and adults,I have never lost sight of how difficult it can be to come for counselling. It can make sense for people to begin with an initial session to see if we can work together. I work both in the short term and long term and anything in-between. I am very passionate about the value of counselling and look forward to meeting you.

I have worked both in a college setting and as a Clinical Director of a counselling centre in Norwich. Now I am concentrating on my private practice and supervising other counsellors. I see clients in Norwich and in my home in South Norfolk.

Counselling sessions provide a safe place which enables people to explore uncomfortable and self-limiting feelings. Being listened to accepted and understood is a powerful way to turn negative experiences into positive in sights. Through a process of actively working together therapy can look at the options available to help you make changes in your current life and also to make sense of past influences.

As a parent, grandparent and artist I never tire of working alongside people as they share their rich tapestry of life, their trials and tribulations and their unique attachment patterns.

What I can help with

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
