About me and my therapy practice
About me and my supervision practice
I’m Emma (she/her), a neurodivergent therapist, coach and supervisor. I work with therapists, coaches and organisations who want to offer ethical, reflective and sustainable practice, particularly when working in and around the neurodivergent community.
Alongside my supervision work, I run a therapy and coaching practice specialising in supporting neurodivergent adults (diagnosed or undiagnosed) and people living with long‑term or chronic illness, including fibromyalgia, ME/CFS and chronic burnout. This dual perspective allows me to bring both clinical depth and lived understanding into the supervision space.
My supervision is grounded in the Seven‑Eyed Model, offering a collaborative and reflective framework that supports learning, insight and professional development. I pay close attention to relational dynamics, power, difference, and the wider systems impacting both practitioner and client, while adapting the process to suit different neurotypes, working styles and capacities.
I aim to create a supervision space that feels containing, thoughtful and affirming, where you can reflect openly on your work, explore challenges safely, and reconnect with your values and sense of meaning as a practitioner.
In addition to ongoing supervision, I also offer one‑off or short‑term ‘top‑up’ supervision for practitioners who already have a main supervisor but feel stuck or uncertain when working with a neurodivergent or chronically ill client, and would value focused, specialist input.
Specialisms
I have particular experience working with:
Neurodivergent adults (diagnosed or undiagnosed, including ADHD and autism)
Chronic illness and energy‑limiting conditions, including fibromyalgia, ME/CFS and chronic burnout
I also welcome neurotypical adults seeking counselling or coaching support.

I work online or in person with individuals or with groups, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. I run an inclusive practice, everyone is welcome.

About me and my therapy practice
I’m Emma (she/her), founder of Selfhood Counselling and Coaching. I’m an integrative therapist and coach offering neuro affirming, personalised support for adults, with particular experience working with neurodivergent clients and people living with chronic illness.
My practice is grounded in the belief that there is no single “right” way to be human. I specialise in working with adults who feel misunderstood, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves, while also welcoming neurotypical clients seeking support with life transitions, emotional difficulties, relationships, or personal growth.
I tailor my work to your individual brain, nervous system and life context. Whether you choose counselling, coaching, or a thoughtful blend of both, our sessions will focus on developing insight, self understanding and practical strategies that support sustainable change and greater independence.
My approach is informed by both professional training and lived experience. As a late diagnosed AuDHD practitioner, I understand how confusing and invalidating it can feel to move through life or mental health services without adequate understanding or support. I work collaboratively, at your pace, and place strong emphasis on safety, trust and choice.
I aim to help clients find a stronger sense of safety, self worth and meaning within themselves, so these qualities can be carried into everyday life. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you, clarify goals, and identify approaches that genuinely work for you rather than relying on one size fits all solutions.
If you feel I may be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch to discuss what you’re looking for and whether working together feels right.
