Sessions can be offered weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on your placement or caseload requirements. I currently have daytime and limited evening availability.

Supervision can be provided face-to-face in Leicester city centre or online via secure video platform.

As I am completing my supervision qualification, my work is supported by a qualified supervision tutor and carried out in line with BACP ethical guidelines.

If you are interested, please get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor and trainee supervisor, working relationally and collaboratively. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can reflect openly on your client work, ethical considerations and professional development.

As a supervisor in training, I aim to support you in developing confidence, clinical skills and reflective practice. I work from a strengths-based perspective, valuing your existing knowledge while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and self-awareness.

I understand the pressures of training and early practice, including managing placements, building a caseload and working within organisational settings. My intention is to offer supportive challenge alongside encouragement, helping you grow both personally and professionally.

Practice description

Supervision with me is collaborative and tailored to your stage of development. Together we will explore client work, risk, safeguarding, ethical dilemmas, boundaries and self-care. I place importance on reflective dialogue and creating space to think, rather than focusing solely on case management.

I welcome trainee counsellors and newly qualified practitioners who would benefit from low-cost supervision while still receiving high-quality, ethically grounded support.

Sessions last 60 or 90 minutes, depending on your needs and placement requirements. Face-to-face sessions take place in Leicester city centre, or online if preferred.

My aim is to provide a warm, thoughtful and professional supervisory relationship where learning and growth can take place safely.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore whether we are a good fit to work together. We will discuss your current placement or practice, supervision requirements, client group, and what you are hoping to gain from supervision.

I will also explain how I work, expectations around confidentiality, record-keeping, and ethical practice. There will be space for you to ask any questions.

If we decide to continue, we will agree a supervision contract outlining frequency, fees and responsibilities.

Sessions can be held face-to-face in Leicester city centre or online.

About me and my therapy practice

My name is Yasmin, I am of dual heritage and have volunteered in the community for as long as I can remember, which has exposed me to a wide range of people and experiences. This has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the challenges and struggles faced by individuals from different backgrounds. This translates to greater empathy and connection with my clients which is paramount for success in counselling.

I have experience working with trauma, complex needs and neurodiversity. I have worked in the education sector, and currently work with victims who have been sexually assaulted or raped. I provide one to one counselling, creating a safe space where you can be yourself without judgement. I work with individuals of all backgrounds, beliefs, ages, gender and presentations. Specialist in the BAME community,

Practice description

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and therapist, and a registered member of the BACP, offering both online and in-person sessions for children, teenagers, and adults. I hold an Advanced Specialist Training in Counselling Children and Young People (CPCAB Level 5 Certificate) and a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Self-harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention.

My approach is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I will walk alongside you with empathy and understanding, providing a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard.

I have supported many clients through a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, abuse, trauma, ADHD, relationship and family difficulties, work-related stress, low self-esteem, grief and loss, anger management, OCD, PTSD, BPD, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and personal growth.

With extensive experience gained over many years and client hours, I work with individuals to explore their challenges and help them build confidence in expressing their needs, understanding boundaries, and developing resilience and self-awareness.

When working with children and young people, I recognise the importance of trust, patience, and creativity. Every child and teenager wants to feel heard and understood, and I adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. If communication feels difficult, I use creative or integrative techniques to help them express themselves in ways that feel safe and natural.

Each session is guided by what feels most helpful for you in that moment, allowing the therapy to move at your own pace and in the direction that feels right for you.

My first session

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I offer a free 30-minute consultation to help you decide if I’m the right counsellor for you. This is an informal chat where we can talk through what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’d like to get from it, and how we might work together. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a feel for the process before committing to regular sessions.

If you decide to continue, each counselling session lasts 50 minutes and takes place weekly, either online or in person, on a mutually agreed day and time. The fee for each session is £50 for adults and £60 for children or young people (under 18).

In our first full session, we’ll spend some time exploring what has brought you here and what you hope to gain from counselling. I’ll explain how I work, discuss confidentiality, and ensure you feel comfortable with the pace and direction of our sessions.

For younger clients, I also take time to liaise with parents or carers as needed to support the therapeutic process and create a consistent understanding of the work we’re doing. My aim is always to make the first session feel safe, supportive, and focused on your individual needs.
