About me and my therapy practice
I have recently completed the taught component of the Supervision Certificate course delivered by Robin and Joan Shohet at the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD) in London. The programme consisted of four modules, each taught over three full days:
Module 1: Core Supervision – the CLEAR model
Module 2: Therapeutic Supervision – the Seven-Eyed Model
Module 3: Group Supervision
Module 4: Advanced Practice and Integration
The training placed a strong emphasis on bringing supervisees’ inner processes into awareness, recognising and working with parallel processes, exploring the use of specific therapeutic interventions, and considering the wider organisational and relational contexts in which client and supervisee meet.
To complete my certification as a supervisor with CSTD, I am required to evidence a number of clinical supervision hours. I am therefore currently offering supervision sessions at a reduced rate. My fees will increase once certification is complete, which I anticipate will be in early 2027.
Practice description
As a psychotherapist, the main modalities I use are IFS, inner relationship focusing (IRF), compassion-focused therapy, brainspotting/ EMDR, trauma/ tension release exercises (TRE) and (somatic-) meditative practices.
In supervision, I use the CLEAR model as well as the Seven-Eyed Model as my main framework.
The CLEAR model of supervision is a simple, structured framework that supports reflective practice and professional development.
C – Contract: Agree the purpose, roles, boundaries, and expectations of supervision.
L – Listen: The supervisor listens actively to the supervisee’s experiences and concerns.
E – Explore: Issues are explored in depth through reflection and questioning to build insight.
A – Action: Practical actions or changes to practice are identified.
R – Review: Learning and progress are reviewed to inform future supervision.
The Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision is a comprehensive framework that facilitates exploration from multiple perspectives and thereby encourages deep reflection.
Mode 1- Focus on the client: What is happening for the client, their presentation, needs, and context.
Mode 2- Focus on the supervisee’s interventions: What the supervisee does, says, and how they work with the client.
Mode 3- Focus on the relationship between client and supervisee: The dynamics, patterns, and emotional exchanges in the client–practitioner relationship.
Mode 4- Focus on the supervisee: The supervisee’s thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and personal responses to the work.
Mode 5- Focus on the supervisory relationship: How the interaction between supervisor and supervisee may mirror or influence the client work.
Mode 6- Focus on the supervisor: The supervisor’s own reactions, assumptions, and use of self in supervision.
Mode 7- Focus on the wider context: Organisational, ethical, cultural, and systemic factors affecting the work.

Welcome to my profile,
I work as an integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at Horton House in the centre of Liverpool and worldwide online. Previously, I worked for five years as a psychotherapist in the NHS and for ten years as the leading therapist in a private counselling and psychotherapist service in the Midlands which I had founded and developed. I provide a warm, non-judgemental, safe and professional space. As I am not part of a service like the NHS, I can guarantee complete confidentiality.
My basic training as a psychotherapist was a MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy which focused on the integration of cognitive-behavioural, attachment-focused and person-centred approaches to best meet clients' individual needs. Following I underwent extensive further training in:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Inner Relationship Focusing (IRF)
Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT)
Eye movement desensitization and retrocession (EMDR)
Brainspotting
Trauma and Tension Release Exercises (TRE)
Mindfulness and body-centred meditation
I have personal experience of the impact of childhood trauma on ones psyche and emotional well-being, and of how psychotherapy can help to heal these wounds. I believe that having lived experience as well as professional expertise helps me to relate to clients on a deep level and with a sensitivity that I would have otherwise not had.
Qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Psychology (1999)
MA Psychoanalytic Studies (2002)
MSc Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (2011)
PG Cert in Compassion-Focused Therapy (2014)
Internal Family Systems (IFS), Level 1 and 2 (2021, 2022)
Inner Relationship Focusing (IRP), Spring 2025
Brainspotting Level 1, 2 and 3 (2017, 2018)
Trauma and Tension Release Exercises (TRE) Provider since 2017
Realization Process (embodied mindfulness) Teacher since 2022
EMDR Level 1 and 2 (2013, 2014)
