About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor (FdA in Counselling) and a registered member of the BACP, offering clinical supervision to counsellors, trainees, and helping professionals.
I hold an Advanced Specialist Diploma in Clinical & Creative Supervision and bring over 15 years of experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting individuals, alongside running a busy private practice and working as a school counsellor.
I have experience working with children, young people, and adults, and my practice is trauma-informed.
I have supported work around: trauma, abuse, addiction, self harm and suicidal ideation, bereavement, attachment, anxiety, low mood, and work-related stress.
Practice description
My core framework is the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which allows us to explore your client work from a range of perspectives and deepen your understanding of both your own process and your clients’ needs.
I aim to offer a supportive, collaborative space where you feel safe to reflect, be curious, and grow in your practice.
I am trained in creative clinical supervision and can integrate both creative and traditional approaches, depending on what suits you best.
My intention is to support you in developing your own internal supervisor, strengthening your confidence and autonomy in your work.
My first session
I offer a free initial session with no obligation, giving us the opportunity to explore whether we feel like a good fit and to answer any questions you may have.
I offer: Face-to-face supervision in Hartlepool
Online sessions
I work from a private office with lift access and free parking.

About me and my therapy practice
My name is Tess, I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor (FdA in Arts in Counselling) and I am a registered a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, my hope is that I can provide you with some information that may help answer questions you have about therapy and how it might be helpful for challenges and changes you are currently experiencing.
Through my work with clients I am to create a safe space that allows a person the time, the care and the support to work through whatever it is that they feel is keeping them stuck, causing them sadness, guilt, worry or ways navigating difficult life decisions.
I offer one-to-one counselling in person or online. Here you can be entirely yourself and there is no risk of judgment or discrimination. I am here to listen and help create a relationship that will allow you to find emotional acceptance, growth, authenticity and independence.
Practice description
I have experienced working with trauma, anxiety, low mood bereavement and loss, attachment and childhood issues, relationship and work related issues. My continued personal development includes recent courses in safe guarding domestic abuse, suicide, adverse childhood experiences, Trauma Informed Therapy and processing Cancer for both patients and family members.
Through my training I have learnt several skills that I believe can help you move through situations you might be finding difficult and together we can develop ways to help you cope better and grow stronger.
My extensive experience in senior management in hospitality over the years has allowed me to work in various roles which include mentoring, developing, coaching and facilitating, all with the focus on helping individuals and groups reach their true potential.
Making the decision to start counselling is significant and potentially has taken time and thought. I am not here to tell you what to do but rather to help you see the bigger picture and connect events with feelings, so that in the future you will be best equipped to deal with life’s challenges.
