About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative practitioner, I offer supervision to counsellors working with a wide range of client issues, drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches. Sessions may be structured or flexible, depending on your learning style and needs.

My supervisory work is shaped by a deep appreciation of the complexity involved in holding others’ lives at vulnerable and painful moments. This informs a reflective approach, with careful attention to responsibility, ethical practice, and the wellbeing of both you and your clients.

I aim to create a safe and non-judgemental space where you feel secure enough to explore your edges and think constructively about your work—including moments when you might say, “I’ve made a mis-step and want to talk it through,” or “I’m not sure how to move forward.”

I work in a warm and honest way, combining respectful challenge with thoughtful exploration, so we can collaborate as a team to deepen reflection, build self-awareness, strengthen professional identity, and support clarity in therapeutic decision-making.

I hold an NCPS Diploma in Supervision from Iron Mill College of Counselling & Psychotherapy in Exeter. My counselling career began in the NHS, before I went on to establish a successful private practice. I am committed to ongoing CPD and the continued evolution of my own practice.

Practice description

My approach draws on two well-established supervision models: Hawkins’ Seven-Eyed Model and Proctor’s Three-Function Model. Together, I find these frameworks offer clear structure and depth, forming a flexible and comprehensive foundation that adapts to evolving needs while upholding ethical and professional standards.

I supervise counsellors at all levels, from trainees to experienced practitioners, and work most effectively alongside those who use an integrative approach. During sessions, I offer:

Reflective & Clinical Support - Exploring client work, therapeutic relationships, and presenting issues

Skill Development - Building clinical skills, techniques, and professional confidence

Ethical Oversight & Accountability - Ensuring practice meets ethical and professional standards

Client Welfare Focus - Prioritising safety and wellbeing through competent, ethical practice

Emotional Support - Space to process the emotional impact of the work, manage stress, and prevent burnout

Professional & Practice Development - Supporting reflective practice and career development

Practical & Administrative Support - Assistance with organisation, case management, and aspects of private practice

About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming and you don’t have to face it alone. You may be living with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or family issues. Whatever you’re going through, there is a way forward—and therapy can help you find it.

Whether you’re facing long-standing challenges or navigating a difficult period, we will explore its impact, along with your thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behaviour. This can create space to deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences. When appropriate, we can also consider ways to support change where possible and strengthen your resilience where things may be less within your control.

I believe that meaningful change begins within the therapeutic relationship: the more trust we build, the more deeply we can explore the issues you bring and the deeper layers of your experience. My life experiences, personal therapy, and professional training have shaped my ability to be present in an empathetic, grounded, and authentic way, particularly during moments that feel complex, painful, or uncertain.

I will strive to help you feel genuinely seen, validated, and supported, within a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly at your own pace. I work in a warm, engaged, and honest way, offering challenge when appropriate, while always prioritising your best interests. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to fostering self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being whilst supporting lasting and meaningful change.

Practice description

Working in both the NHS and private practice, I support people from diverse backgrounds facing a wide range of challenges. I have experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, stress, burnout, self-worth, relationship difficulties, trauma, and periods of change or uncertainty.

Recognizing that everyone has their own history, perspective, and experiences, I take a holistic, integrative approach—drawing on various therapeutic methods and tailoring the work to meet your needs. This flexibility is an important part of how I work. It allows our sessions to evolve in a way that feels supportive, collaborative, and responsive to you as a unique individual.

Driven by a passion for personal and professional growth, I continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and expertise. I engage in both individual and peer supervision, complemented by regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD), to refine my skills and enhance my qualifications.

My first session

Finding a counsellor, you feel safe and connected with is essential. To help with this, I offer a 20-minute trial session, giving us the chance to see if we’re the right fit

The number of sessions will depend on your individual needs, our process, and your progress. I will check in with you regularly to review our work together. Short-term therapy typically involves around 10–12 sessions, while longer-term work will extend to 12+ sessions.
