About me and my therapy practice
My name is Sam Ball and I am a qualified therapist and supervisor with over ten years of experience with groups and in an individual capacity with people who have been in custody, veterans, people struggling with substance misuse, people who have been through bereavement, people with neurodiversity, people with eating disorders and people with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and PTSD.
I approach my work with kindness and compassion, offering the space with the supervisee to be held with respect and listened to without judgement. I am passionate about seeking to understand and supporting supervisees struggling with difficult thought patterns, feelings, confidence, self-esteem and relational problems related to their work with clients.
I value how everyone is unique and I tailor my work to meet individual needs and hope to achieve the outcomes you want through supervision. I will work with you to help you gain a deeper awareness of yourself in order to make the changes you want in terms of your relationship with yourself, clients or the world and people around you.
I offer online supervision, accessible globally from the comfort of your own surroundings. I also offer supervision in a face to face capacity from my own home in Preston. I work creatively offering practical exercises to help anchor and understand concepts that may be useful.
Practice description

My first session
I offer a free 30 minute introductory session over phone or video call to see if we are the right fit for each other. I am happy to discuss discounted rates based on your current situation for sessions going forward. I offer students around 20% discount off my hourly rate .
