About me and my therapy practice

I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, MSc-qualified and BACP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, offering private psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic counselling, and coaching to adults, couples, and students.

My integrative and relational approach is tailored to each individual, drawing from Psychodynamic, Attachment-based, Existential, Humanistic, and trauma-informed approaches. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to the process of change and growth, providing a safe and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and understand the patterns that shape their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships.

I have a particular interest in the relationship between early experiences, attachment, emotional regulation, identity, and relational patterns. My practice supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, childhood experiences, relationship difficulties, ADHD and neurodivergence, burnout, stress, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and significant life transitions.

I work with clients who may be seeking to understand themselves more deeply, process past experiences, navigate current challenges, or create meaningful change in their personal and professional lives. My approach combines compassion, curiosity, clinical expertise, and a nuanced understanding of human behaviour and the complexity of each person’s individual story.

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I bring extensive professional experience from corporate environments, education, academia, health and wellbeing, and high-performing sectors. This broader perspective informs my understanding of achievement, identity, professional pressures, relationships, and the challenges that can arise during periods of change and transition.

I offer therapy online worldwide and in person from my private practices in the Surrey Hills, Guildford, and Central London.

Practice description

I offer 1:1 and group integrative clinical supervision for psychotherapists, counsellors, coaches, and consultants, providing a reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded space to explore client work, professional development, and the complexities of therapeutic practice.

My supervision approach is relational, collaborative, and tailored to the individual needs, experience, therapeutic style, and developmental stage of each supervisee. I believe supervision is a space for reflection, curiosity, learning, and growth, where practitioners can explore challenges, deepen their clinical thinking, develop confidence, and strengthen their professional identity.

I draw primarily on Hawkins and Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), integrating these with my own integrative and relational approach. My supervision is informed by Psychodynamic, Attachment-based, Existential, Humanistic, Relational, and trauma-informed perspectives, alongside wider psychological approaches including Transactional Analysis, Interpersonal Neurobiology, CBT-informed approaches, ACT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused approaches.

I trained in the Seven-Eyed Model with Robin Shohet at the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD), London.

My aim is to create a safe and thoughtful supervisory relationship where practitioners can reflect openly, explore uncertainty, recognise their strengths, navigate ethical complexities, and continue developing as confident and authentic practitioners.

I bring more than 25 years' experience empowering people to overcome symptoms of adversity. I am an MSc-qualified integrative psychotherapist and clinical psychotherapeutic counsellor trained with Metanoia Institute, and MBACP registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and the Counselling Directory. I am a qualified Supervisor with CSTD London; and a Transformational Coach with Animas London.

About me and my therapy practice

I'm Carolina, a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, MSc-qualified and BACP-accredited integrative psychotherapist. I provide a warm, confidential and supportive space for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, ADHD, PTSD, grief, loss, or major life transitions.

I specialise in chronic anxiety, an overactive nervous system, childhood trauma, family issues, relationship patterns, work-related stress, anger, addictions, and the emotional challenges that can arise when life feels overwhelming.

My integrative approach draws from different therapeutic modalities, allowing therapy to be tailored around you as an individual. Together, we can explore your emotions, experiences, patterns of behaviour, relationships, and the impact of past experiences on your present life.

Being human means experiencing challenges, but sometimes life events can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves. Therapy can provide a space to reflect, develop self-awareness, understand habitual responses, and explore new ways of being.

I bring a compassionate blend of clinical expertise and a nuanced understanding of human behaviour, informed by experience across corporate environments, high-performing sectors, education, academia, and life. My strength lies in building strong therapeutic relationships where you feel understood and supported, while drawing on psychotherapeutic knowledge and practical strategies to help you navigate challenges and support your psychological wellbeing.

Practice description

Integrative psychotherapy is like the eclectic playlist of therapeutic approaches. I combine different clinical evidence-based methods to tailor the therapy to your unique needs,  considering your specific issues, personality and preferences. Integrative therapy is versatile and flexible, drawing on many different psychological theories and therapeutic models to help you explore and manage your symptoms.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

The therapeutic process is a deeply personal and transformative journey that is unique for each of us. It requires dedication, effort, consistency, and a willingness to explore one's inner world, including thoughts, feelings, emotions, behaviours, and experiences. While therapy does not offer guaranteed outcomes, it can open the door to positive changes, such as:

- Develop calmer ways of relating to oneself

- Explore current life challenges and past experiences while building resilience for the future

- Gain insight into patterns that may be contributing to emotional or relational difficulties

- Recognise triggers behind unhelpful thoughts, feelings, or behaviours

- Develop greater awareness of how emotional and neurobiological processes influence your experience

- Learn to observe thoughts and feelings with greater perspective

- Experiment with new ways of responding to situations and relationships

- Work towards a greater sense of balance across different areas of life

- Challenge limiting beliefs or patterns that may have developed earlier in life

- Clarify personal values and goals that feel meaningful to you

- Develop deeper self-understanding and self-acceptance

- Approach life’s challenges with greater openness and flexibility

The changes you experience will be shaped by your needs and circumstances. This can include a noticeable reduction in symptoms, a stronger sense of self, more freedom in how you meet challenges, and the confidence to move forward with clarity and purpose.

My first session

I carry out an initial therapeutic assessment to ascertain how you’re doing mentally and physically, and establish your safety levels, which is an important starting point for your therapeutic sessions.

Thereafter, you may wish to:

• describe your current problems and symptoms, and the background to these

• provide a bit more information about how different aspects of your life have been in the recent past, such as your health, medical history, emotional wellbeing, relational, social and work circumstances, and the day-to-day aspects of life
