About me and my therapy practice

As a qualified Clinical Supervisor since 2012, I offer a warm, supportive and reflective space where counsellors and other helping professionals can explore their clinical work, develop confidence and grow both personally and professionally.

My supervision approach is grounded in Person-Centred values, emphasising empathy, authenticity, trust and collaboration. I believe supervision should be a safe, non-judgemental space where practitioners feel comfortable exploring challenges, uncertainties, ethical dilemmas and the emotional impact of their work.

Through my further studies, 13 years of experience as a Counselling Tutor and my work as a CPCAB External Verifier/Examiner, I have developed a broad understanding of different therapeutic approaches and professional standards. This enables me to support practitioners working across different modalities while respecting their individual theoretical orientation.

I draw on the restorative, formative and normative functions of supervision, balancing emotional support, professional development and ethical accountability.

I have experience supervising qualified counsellors, trainees, school counsellors and professionals working in private practice, education, charities and organisational settings.

My approach is collaborative, reflective and gently challenging when appropriate, encouraging curiosity, self-awareness and deeper understanding of the therapeutic relationship.

Above all, I see supervision as a shared journey of learning, reflection and growth, where practitioners feel supported, valued and empowered to offer safe, ethical and effective therapeutic work.

I offer individual and group clinical supervision in English and Portuguese, both online and face-to-face.

Practice description

I have been providing clinical supervision since 2012, supporting trainee and qualified counsellors across different therapeutic settings. I offer both individual and group supervision, grounded in my Person-Centred values of empathy, authenticity, respect and collaboration.

My aim is to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where supervisees feel comfortable exploring their clinical work, therapeutic relationships, ethical dilemmas, professional challenges and personal responses to client work.

I believe supervision is a collaborative and reflective process. I work with what each supervisee brings, encouraging curiosity, self-awareness and the exploration of different perspectives. I offer gentle challenge when appropriate, supporting professional confidence, ethical practice and continued growth.

My approach incorporates the restorative, formative and normative functions of supervision, recognising the importance of emotional support, learning and professional accountability.

Supervision Fees and Arrangements

Individual supervision: £65 per hour

Group supervision: £25 per person (maximum four participants)

A limited number of reduced-fee supervision places are available.

Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice.

For BACP members, supervision arrangements should reflect the current BACP Ethical Framework, professional requirements and individual practice needs. A minimum of 1.5 hours per month is commonly recommended for practising counsellors, although additional supervision may be appropriate depending on workload, experience and client complexity.

Above all, I see supervision as an opportunity to reflect, learn and grow together, while keeping the wellbeing and safety of clients at the heart of our work.

Practice description

As an experienced Counselling Tutor, Trainer and Clinical Supervisor, I am passionate about supporting the personal and professional development of trainee and qualified counsellors.

With 13 years of experience teaching counselling and over 20 years of clinical practice, I bring together theoretical knowledge, practical experience and a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by those entering or developing within the counselling profession.

My training approach is grounded in Person-Centred values, creating a warm, inclusive and supportive learning environment where participants feel safe to explore, question, reflect and develop their skills.

I believe counselling training is not simply about acquiring knowledge and techniques, but also about developing self-awareness, emotional resilience, ethical understanding and the ability to build authentic therapeutic relationships.

My teaching incorporates experiential learning, group discussions, reflective exercises, practical skills development and opportunities to explore different therapeutic perspectives.
