Practice description
Alongside my counselling practice as an integrative counsellor, I am currently training to become a qualified Clinical Supervisor at a Level 7 with an attachment informed approach.
I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where you can confidently process your case material, develop your clinical reasoning, and protect your well-being.
Over the next 6 months, I am offering a reduced rate on high-quality, ethically grounded supervision to qualified or student counsellors who require an insightful, supportive space to reflect on their clinical practice.

Practice description
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained? When stress, trauma, or anxiety build up, even simple decisions can feel impossible. You might be functioning on the outside while quietly battling exhaustion, overthinking, or old wounds that keep resurfacing. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
I’m Jo — an advanced counselling practitioner with over 15 years’ experience supporting adults and young people through complex emotional challenges.
Why I do this work
Part of my passion for counselling comes from my own lived experience. I understand what it feels like to face emotional difficulties without support, and how isolating that can be. That period in my life shaped the way I practise; with compassion and a commitment to ensuring no one has to navigate their struggles alone.
My therapeutic approach
I work using an integrative approach, which means I draw from several evidence based therapies including CBT, Psychodynamic and Humanistic models and blend them in a way that fits you as an individual.
My background includes extensive NHS work, charity roles, and running my own counselling and hypnotherapy practice giving me a broad, grounded understanding of the many ways people experience emotional distress.
How we work together
Integrative therapy allows us to work holistically: exploring your past when needed, understanding your emotional patterns, and developing practical tools to help you move forward. Alongside this, I also offer clinical hypnotherapy where appropriate, providing an additional route for deeper change.
I can help with:
• Anxiety, Stress & Depression
• Trauma & Abuse Recovery
• Addictions & Coping Cycles
• Self-Esteem & Life Transitions
The list above is far from exhaustive, I regularly work with clients across a broad range of everyday issues, including anger management, relationship dynamics, work-related stress, redundancy, and child-related or pregnancy struggles.
Please get in touch so we can discuss further how we can work together.
