About me and my therapy practice
I am a clinical supervisor with a specialist focus on trauma, children, and young people, bringing a systems-informed, integrative approach to both my therapeutic and supervisory work. My background is rooted in child and adolescent mental health, and I work holistically with families, schools, and wider networks to understand and support the needs of the young person.
At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to person-centred values: compassion, curiosity, and connection. I believe that effective supervision starts with a safe, supportive relationship, one that allows space for honest reflection, clinical creativity, and emotional containment. While I am grounded in relational and trauma-informed approaches, my practice is integrative. I draw on a range of models including psychodynamic, systemic, and cognitive frameworks to support supervisees in making sense of complex presentations and clinical processes.
A key strength of my supervision style is helping practitioners link theory to practice. I support supervisees in developing thoughtful, robust formulations that consider the child’s internal world, developmental needs, and the relational and systemic contexts around them. Whether exploring attachment dynamics, neurodevelopmental needs, safeguarding concerns or intergenerational trauma, I aim to support professionals in deepening their understanding and confidence.
Supervision with me is reflective, thoughtful, and collaborative. I am interested in what holds meaning for each supervisee, and I tailor sessions to meet their clinical experience, professional role, and personal development goals.
Practice description
I’m a warm, compassionate and person-centred therapist and clinical supervisor, with a specialist focus on trauma, children and young people. I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic models to suit the needs of each individual, while always placing the relationship at the centre. My approach is grounded in attachment, developmental and trauma-informed thinking, with a strong belief in the importance of connection, curiosity and safety in healing.
In my work with children, young people and families, I pay close attention to the wider systems around them including school, family, community and culture and support clients to make sense of how these may impact emotional wellbeing. I also consider how early experiences, identity and relationships shape current difficulties, helping clients build understanding and compassion for themselves and others.
Clients can expect a thoughtful, collaborative and non-judgemental space. Whether I’m working with a child, young person, parent or adult client, my aim is to offer a space where you feel heard, respected and understood. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, notice patterns, and work towards greater insight, resilience and emotional balance. I offer both short- and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs, and will regularly review our work together to make sure it feels helpful.
If you're seeking a therapist who is attuned, reflective and responsive to your unique experiences, I’d be glad to speak with you.
My first session
I offer a free 30-minute initial session, giving us both the opportunity to meet and get a feel for how it might be to work together. This is a chance for you to ask any questions, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and get a sense of whether the relationship feels safe, comfortable and right for you. It’s equally important that we both feel it’s a good fit, as a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful work. There’s no pressure to commit, and we can talk openly about what you need and how I work.
