Availability

I currently have availability for new supervisees, on weekdays, in person in Central London and online across time zones. I reply to enquiries within two working days.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors, psychotherapists and addiction practitioners. My supervision is psychodynamically informed but accessible to practitioners of any modality. It offers room to think about the work, and about what it stirs in you.

I have two areas of particular focus.

Working with senior professionals and corporate clients. Leaders and high-performing professionals bring particular pressures into the consulting room, and the organisation often comes with them. Before training as a psychotherapist I spent twenty years in senior corporate roles at Deutsche Bank, Tesco and IHG, and I continue to work as an executive coach and organisational psychologist. I can help you think about the world your clients work in: the defences it rewards, the demands it makes, and how these show up in the relationship with you.

Addiction, sexualised drug use and chemsex. I am Head of Clinical Supervision at a specialist addiction and recovery charity, where I have supervised key workers for several years. I can help you work with the clinical and ethical complexity of this field: relapse, shame, risk, and the strong countertransference that addiction work provokes. I welcome practitioners working with LGBTQ+ clients and in sexual health settings.

Practice description

Sessions are 60 minutes, in person in Central London or online, at a frequency we agree. I work with qualified practitioners and am not currently taking trainees.

You bring the clinical material you want to think about: a client you feel stuck with, a dynamic you cannot quite name, an ethical question, or the effect the work is having on you. My role is to help you think, not to tell you what to do. I also attend to the relationship between us in supervision, as it often mirrors something happening with your client.

I work within the ethical frameworks of the BACP and the British Psychoanalytic Council, and can provide supervision reports or confirmation of hours for your professional body.

Fees: £150 per session.

My first session

Before we agree to work together, I offer a free 20-minute call by phone or video, so we can both get a sense of whether we are a good fit.

The first full session is charged at the standard rate. We use part of it to agree a written contract and to understand your context: your training, caseload, professional body’s requirements, and any organisation you work within. You are welcome to bring a case to this first session. There is no formal assessment, and no commitment beyond it.

About me and my therapy practice

Highly trained Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Recovery Specialist.

Available in person in Angel and Fitzrovia, and globally via Zoom.

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and recovery specialist, helping you understand how your inner life shapes your relationships, choices, and the way you handle pressure.

With many years of experience in both clinical and corporate settings, my approach is distinct: I combine deep, first-hand knowledge of the commercial world with advanced therapeutic expertise. This means I understand the real pressures of demanding environments, and can help you navigate them with greater clarity, resilience, and self-awareness.

I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, impulsivity, low self-esteem, identity, sex and sexuality, relationship difficulties, parenting, serious illness, bereavement, and questions of meaning and purpose.

I also have significant experience supporting people with ADHD and ASD traits or diagnoses, helping them feel more at ease with themselves and the world around them.

Practice description

I offer a discrete, thoughtful, non-judgmental space to explore your inner world - one that supports deeper understanding, connection, and lasting emotional wellbeing. My extensive training, alongside many years of personal therapy, enables me to help you make sense of how your inner life interacts with your environment and relationships.

Clients often describe developing a more compassionate curiosity about themselves and their histories, leading to greater awareness, confidence, and a more fulfilling, authentic life.

I offer open-ended or time-limited psychodynamic psychotherapy, once or twice weekly. I also provide specialist recovery coaching for those looking to reclaim their lives from addictive behaviours or substances, with particular experience in Chemsex recovery support for gay men.

Over several decades I've accumulated uncommon experience in both the corporate and clinical worlds:

  • Accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council and registered with the BACP
  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, NHS England
  • Head of Clinical Supervision in a specialty substance misuse charity
  • Clinical training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, The Tavistock Centre, NHS
  • MSc Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, The Tavistock Centre, NHS
  • MSc Organisational and Social Psychology, LSE
  • Accredited Executive Coach, EMCC
  • Former Global Head, Mergers & Acquisitions, IHG plc
  • Former Head Business Development, Tesco plc
  • Former Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, Deutsche Bank AG

My first session

Before beginning regular sessions, we would arrange one or more assessment meetings, which are offered at two-thirds of the standard session fee. The purpose of the assessment phase is to explore your hopes and expectations, answer any initial questions you may have, and help us both determine whether this kind of therapy is appropriate for you — and whether working together feels like the right fit.

If we decide to work together, sessions are held weekly or sometimes twice weekly, last 50 minutes, and are charged at £120 for ‘off-peak’ sessions and from £150 for standard sessions. Off-peak times are 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday to Friday, and standard times are all other times.

Both options reflect the same quality of care and commitment. Offering a lower rate during daytime hours allows me to make some space in my practice more accessible while managing demand at peak times.
