About me and my therapy practice
I am a trainee Creative Clinical Supervisor offering online and face-to-face supervision for therapists, counsellors, play therapists and other professionals working in emotionally demanding, relational roles.
My approach combines the core functions of clinical supervision with creative and experiential methods. Alongside verbal reflection, I may use creative mediums such as line, shape, colour, imagery, sand, clay, objects and metaphor to support exploration and reflection.
Creative supervision offers an alternative way of accessing experiences that can sometimes be difficult to express through words alone. Creative materials can help bring thoughts, feelings, relational dynamics and professional experiences into a more tangible form, supporting curiosity, insight and deeper reflection.
No artistic ability or previous creative experience is required. The creative process is not about producing artwork, and I do not interpret what a supervisee creates. Instead, creative methods are used collaboratively to help the supervisee explore their own meaning and understanding.
Creative supervision may be particularly suited to practitioners who work creatively, enjoy experiential approaches, or are looking for a different way to explore their practice, professional identity, therapeutic relationships, boundaries, challenges or areas where they feel stuck.
Creative methods are always optional and adapted to the individual supervisee. Supervision can remain entirely verbal where this is more appropriate.
As a trainee supervisor, my practice is undertaken within the scope of my training and with appropriate supervisory support.
Practice description
I offer creative clinical supervision for therapists, counsellors, play therapists and other professionals working in therapeutic and emotionally demanding roles. My approach combines reflective clinical supervision with creative and experiential methods, using mediums such as colour, line, imagery, sand, clay, objects and metaphor where appropriate.
Supervision provides a supportive and collaborative space to reflect on practice, explore therapeutic relationships, develop professional awareness and consider ethical and professional challenges. Creative approaches are offered alongside, rather than instead of, verbal reflection and are always adapted to the individual supervisee.
I offer supervision online and face-to-face and currently practise as a trainee Creative Clinical Supervisor with appropriate supervisory support.
My first session
I offer a free introductory session for anyone considering creative clinical supervision. This is an opportunity to meet, discuss your current role and supervision needs, and explore whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.
We will also undertake a short creative activity together, giving you an experience of how creative approaches can be incorporated into supervision.
There is no obligation to continue following the session.

About me and my therapy practice
I work primarily with children and young people who are experiencing emotional, behavioural, or relational difficulties. This may include anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, loss, neurodiversity such as autism or ADHD, or challenges linked to family and school life. Families often seek support when a child is struggling to express what they feel, or when behaviour, withdrawal, or distress is impacting daily life.
I specialise in play therapy, offering a safe space where children communicate through play. This helps them express thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words. My child-centred approach focuses on safety, trust, and understanding, supporting children to explore and make sense of their inner world at their own pace.
Over time, children can develop greater emotional awareness, self-regulation, and resilience. Difficult experiences are processed in a safe, supportive space, helping to reduce distress and improve relationships. The aim is not to fix the child, but to help them feel understood, more confident, and better able to cope with life’s challenges.
Practice description
Play therapy sessions are offered in blocks of 15, that is, 1 session a week for 15 weeks. Each session is held on the same day and at the same time and lasts up to 45 minutes, depending on the child's needs. Sessions take place at a local family wellbeing clinic in Sutton Coldfield; however, sessions can take place at your child's school if appropriate.
My approach in play therapy is child led. I believe that children often know what they need in order for healing to take place. The therapy moves at the child's pace and follows their interests, fostering agency and autonomy. The consistent, trusting therapeutic relationship and safe space allows the child to begin to process and understand themselves and the world around them
My first session
Before play therapy sessions begin, I always hold an intake meeting with parents/caregivers first. this enables me to get to know the child and family background and for you to get to know me and how play therapy might help your child.
