About me and my therapy practice

I work as a supervisor by creating a warm, structured, reflective, and gently playful space where supervisees can deepen their clinical thinking, strengthen ethical practice, and grow in confidence. I blend person‑centred values, creative interventions, and clear professional frameworks to support supervisees in becoming more grounded, self-aware, and autonomous practitioners.

My Supervisory Stance

Even though CBT is central to my practice, supervision begins with

Person‑centred at the core

I hold supervisees with unconditional positive regard, trusting their capacity to grow. I avoid directive advice-giving and instead support them to find their own clinical judgement.

Collaborative rather than hierarchical

I position supervision as a shared exploration, not an evaluation. I invite supervisees into partnership.

Warm, humorous, and human

I use lightness and humour to reduce any anxiety.

Culturally attuned

I bring awareness of identity, language, and cultural nuance into the supervisory conversation, helping supervisees understand how these dynamics shape the therapeutic relationship.

Practice description

As a clinical supervisor, I offer a space where therapists can breathe, think, play, and grow. Supervision with me is not just a review of sessions — it’s a creative, relational meeting point where curiosity leads, intuition is welcomed, and the work unfolds with depth and honesty.

Supervisees will experience a supervisor who is:

Warm, grounded, and empathic

Passionate about CBT but not rigid

Structured yet relational

Playful yet professional

Ethically anchored

Curious rather than directive

Whether in private practice or organisational settings, my aim is simple: to help therapists feel resourced, reflective, and creatively alive in their work.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a Humanistic Counsellor who enjoys integrating CBT when it is helpful. My work is grounded in empathy, respect and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth. I offer a safe, confidential and non‑judgemental space where you can explore what is happening in your life, understand your feelings, and move towards meaningful change.

My approach is collaborative and client‑led. I listen carefully, work at your pace, and support you in developing insight, resilience and healthier ways of coping. When appropriate, I draw on CBT techniques to help you understand patterns of thinking and behaviour, and to make practical, focused changes.

Children

I work with children from the age of 4, using play‑based and creative approaches that allow them to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. Play therapy helps children explore emotions, build confidence and make sense of their experiences without needing to rely solely on words.

Young People

With adolescents, I offer a space that balances sensitivity with structure. Teenagers often benefit from a mix of talking therapy, creative exploration and psychoeducation. Together, we look at identity, relationships, emotional regulation and the challenges of growing up.

Adults

I support adults of all ages — from early adulthood through to later life. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties or simply feeling stuck, therapy can help you feel heard, understood and more in control of your life.

Couples

I provide a safe and balanced space for couples to explore difficulties, improve communication and work through challenges together. My aim is to help both partners feel respected, supported and able to express themselves openly.

Professional Background

I am accredited by both The BACP and The National Counselling Society, and I have extensive experience working with clients aged 4 to 90.

Practice description

I am an experienced Accredited Psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience supporting people of all ages and backgrounds. Although I have trained in many therapeutic approaches, I am particularly passionate about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT teaches practical coping skills for managing difficulties and helps you understand how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes influence your feelings and actions.

I offer a warm, friendly, down‑to‑earth and non‑judgemental space where you can explore what is happening in your life at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to help you make sense of your experiences, understand what may be contributing to your distress, and support you in making meaningful changes. I see counselling as a way to help you feel more in control of your life and able to live in a way that is more satisfying and productive.

I work with a wide range of psychological, emotional and behavioural issues, including:

Anger

Anxiety

Autism & ADHD

OCD

Depression

Low self-esteem

Relationship issues

Stress & Work-related stress

Trauma

Bereavement

I am committed to providing effective, compassionate therapy that empowers you to overcome obstacles and move towards the goals that matter to you.

My first session

Our first session is an Assessment. It’s a space for you to share your story and any worries or hopes you’re bringing. I’ll listen carefully to understand what you might need and to see whether I’m the right fit for you. Just as importantly, it’s your opportunity to sense whether you feel comfortable with me and whether working together feels right.
