About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and experienced Clinical Supervisor, with a background working within the NHS, private practice, and mental health charities.

As a Counsellor, I have experience working with children and young people, adults, and couples. As a Supervisor, I work with both Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Supervisors, offering individual and group supervision. Having trained integratively as Counsellor, I work with professionals from all modalities and theoretical orientations.

My supervisory approach is grounded in Hawkins and Shohet's Seven-Eyed Model ). Drawing upon over 20 years of professional experience, I believe that effective supervision should be reflective, restorative, supportive, and professionally enriching. I aim to provide a safe and collaborative space where honesty, curiosity, and depth can flourish.

Alongside support, I offer thoughtful challenge to encourage professional growth, increased self-awareness, and deeper clinical understanding. Together, we can explore client work, therapeutic processes, ethical dilemmas, and aspects of practice that may feel stuck or uncertain. My hope is that supervision will facilitate those important moments of insight that bring clarity, confidence, and renewed perspective.

I am passionate about supporting the wellbeing of practitioners. We will pay attention to the impact of the work on you personally and professionally, including issues such as stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue. Supervision can be a space not only for accountability and professional development, but also for sustaining yourself within a caring and demanding profession.

I care deeply about you, your clients, and your practice. My aim is to help you work safely, ethically, and confidently, in alignment with professional standards, ethical frameworks, and current best practice. I welcome qualified practitioners, organisations, trainees, and supervisors seeking a supportive and engaging supervisory relationship.

Practice description

I work online via secure video platforms, offering supervision that is flexible and responsive to your needs. Sessions can be arranged monthly, fortnightly, or at intervals that best support your practice and professional requirements.

My practice is guided by collaboration, professional curiosity, ethical awareness, and a commitment to supporting both practitioner wellbeing and client welfare.

I aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and reflective space where you feel supported, understood, and able to bring all aspects of your work, enabling you to offer the same level of care to your clients. Supervision is a place to bring both successes and challenges, where achievements can be celebrated and concerns thoughtfully explored.

I value the commitment that counsellors and supervisors bring to their work and consider it a privilege to support practitioners in providing the highest standards of care. I am continually inspired by the dedication of those who choose to help others and feel honoured to work alongside supervisees as they develop professionally, ethically, and personally.

Whether you are a trainee, newly qualified practitioner, experienced counsellor, or supervisor, I hope to offer a professional relationship where you feel supported, valued, challenged, and encouraged in your growth.

My first session

Upon contacting me, we will arrange a convenient time for an initial video call, free of charge. This provides an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether we are a good fit for a supervisory relationship.

During this conversation, we can discuss your current practice, professional needs, previous experience of supervision, and what you hope to gain from the supervisory process. There will also be space to discuss practical matters such as the frequency of sessions, contracting, ethical requirements, and any specific areas of support or development you would like supervision to focus on.

Choosing a supervisor is an important decision, and I encourage you to consider whether my approach feels right for you. My aim is to offer a warm, collaborative, and professional environment where you feel comfortable bringing both your strengths and your challenges.

Should we decide to work together, our first supervision session will help establish a shared understanding of your supervision needs, goals, and expectations, creating a strong foundation for a supportive and effective supervisory relationship.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello and well done for reaching out and taking a major step towards improving your mental health and living the life you love.

I am an experienced Counsellor MBACP (Accred) Clinical Supervisor and Psychologist BSc (hons). I have many years of experience (18+ years) working both within the NHS and in private practice and hold a current DBS certificate.

I now work purely online by video call, no need to leave the comforts of your own home. I am just a click away!

Life is not always easy, in fact it can be complex and at times really difficult. Past pain and traumatic events can make you feel stuck, blocked and out of control, this can be scary. You may be repeating old patterns, within or out of awareness. This can be for many reasons, perhaps depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship difficulties or work troubles.

I believe that all change is possible, given the right environment and this is where I come in. My role as your therapist is to provide you with a safe, supportive place for you to express yourself and be heard. This is often a unique and very rewarding time. I offer a calm, caring, supportive and confidential environment, without judgement. I recognise that everyone is individual and as such I use different therapeutic strategies accordingly to meet your needs. I am passionate in working with you to create the change you desire and deserve, enabling you to live your life to the fullest.

Practice description

I am keen to keep my therapeutic knowledge fresh, current and up to date. I am continuously learning and sharing new skills.

I am passionate and excited about helping my clients and seeing them happy, excited for life and smiling again.
