About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my listing for supervision.
I really enjoy being a supervisor and offering a space to supervisees to explore and grow. I get the most pleasure from seeing growth in counsellors and walking along side them in their journey whatever stage that may be! 10 years on, I am still growing and learning myself and hope this never stops and I will bring my enthusiasm for this work into the supervision setting.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor with over 15 years of experience of working with mainly adults, but also with children and young people. I have experience of working face to face, by telephone and online. I currently only offer online supervision.
I am an Integrative counsellor and supervisor. I am also trained in CBT, family therapy, CYP, EMDR and PCE-CfD.
I currently work for a digital therapy service alongside talking therapies services nationwide. Alongside this I am still able to offer private practice and enjoy the combination of both.
Practice description
A little about my supervision model and how I work!
I use the 7 Eyed Model of supervision (Hawkins & Shohet 1985) which consists of focusing on the client, supervisee and supervisor, it is a relational model and its main focus is the process of the relationship. Let me know if you would like to know more about this model.
As well as the model I use, I do reflect and incorporate the BACP ethical framework and this is an integral part of the supervision I offer.
Whatever your stage of your career, I can help you process and look towards 'best practice' in your counselling.
I believe it is important to be able to reflect and learn without judgement, in a nurturing and professional environment.
I believe it is not just about the clients you may be finding challenging, but the clients that you may have done some really fantastic work with. Relationship is important to me, not just with clients but with my supervisees, so as well as being very passionate about my work, I am also a relaxed and cheerful person, I have a good sense of humour and this comes as part of the package of supervision.
My first session
I offer a free telephone consultation in order for you to ask me any questions and to see if we are best suited to each other. You can contact me via email or text, I am happy to do both.
If you are a trainee counsellor, we can discuss concessionary rates as well when we first speak. Also, if you need any reports completing for your training, I do not charge for these, but do require some notice in order to get it back to you.
