Practice description
My supervision practice closely mirrors my own integrative psychodynamic practice although flexibility in using short form counselling models in established services is also an area of expertise. I am familar with the BACP service accreditation and most recently as Head of Counselling and Mental Health at Royal Holloway, University of London guided the service through several review cycles in maintaining their full accredited status. presently work online and timed in both 60 and 90 minute session format - depending on practitioners needs.
I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and I am keen on how practitioners and their services are adopting the Ethical Framework within all aspects of client work.
I am experienced in working with supervisees from different modalities.
My first session
It is important that you able ask questions about how I work as a supervisor - so that we as therapists can make sure that we would be a workable supervisor alliance. This then needs to be reviewed frequently to check it is meeting supervision needs.
Enquiry call: I can offer a free initial audio session (15 minutes) to see if there is discuss in brief the basic practical and logistical implications of supervision.
First contracting sessions: All being good we then would meet for an initial 60 minute session to establish a formal supervision contract, to clarify expectations, boundaries, and responsibilities.
Regular reviews: Once we are working together the contract will be reviewed quarterly for the first year (six months thereafter) to evaluate the effectiveness of supervision and share feedback.
