About me and my therapy practice
Counselling & Coaching Supervision
I offer supervision (individual & group) for both counselling and coaching practitioners, supporting trainees and qualified professionals in developing safe, ethical and reflective practice. As a humanistic integrative coach-therapist, I bring a dual perspective that honours the depth of therapeutic work and the forward‑focused clarity of coaching. This allows me to supervise practitioners who work solely in one modality or who blend the two.
My supervision style is collaborative, relational and attuned. I aim to create a steady, reflective space where you can explore your client work, deepen your clinical thinking, strengthen your professional identity and feel supported in the challenges and rewards of practice. Supervisees have described my approach as warm, grounded and containing; a place where they can think, feel, question and grow.
Practice description
I am an experienced trauma-informed humanistic coach-therapist with additional qualifications and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Addictions Therapy.
Counselling Supervision
I support counsellors drawing from a range of modalities, including humanistic, integrative, CBT, TA, and ACT. Within the framework of the 'Seven Eyed Model of Supervision', we explore your clinical interventions and their theoretical underpinnings, the therapeutic relationship, the therapeutic process, ethical considerations, risk, boundaries and the impact of the work on you as a practitioner. My aim is to help you feel confident, resourced and professionally anchored.
Coaching Supervision
For coaching practitioners, I offer psychologically informed supervision that supports clarity, ethical decision‑making and reflective practice. We explore client goals, stuckness, emotional undercurrents, boundaries, contracting, and the coach’s role in facilitating change. I help coaches integrate insight with action, bringing depth to their work without losing momentum or focus.
Passionate about supervision
I am especially passionate about supervising counsellors expanding into coaching, coaches seeking stronger psychological foundations for their work, and dual‑trained practitioners developing an integrated approach
A Flexible, Responsive Approach
As a dual‑skilled practitioner, I can move fluidly between therapeutic and coaching perspectives depending on your needs and the nature of your client work. Some sessions may focus on emotional process and relational dynamics; others may centre on goals, structure or professional development. Supervision can be short‑term or ongoing, and is always shaped around your evolving practice.
I welcome an informal conversation if you’d like to explore whether we’re a good fit and how I can support you in your professional development.

About me and my therapy practice
Coach - Therapist
Relational therapy and therapeutic coaching for emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and meaningful change
Hello, I’m Maria. I’m a BACP Accredited counsellor and coach. As a dual qualified coach-therapist, I offer a flexible, joined up approach that supports both emotional exploration and purposeful action. By blending relational counselling with practical, forward focused coaching, I help you understand yourself more deeply, overcome what holds you back, and move forward in a meaningful direction with clarity, confidence and intention.
A Supportive space to help you understand yourself more deeply and shape your life with intention, clarity and confidence
I’m a humanistic integrative practitioner, which means I don’t use a one‑size‑fits‑all method. I draw from several therapeutic approaches and shape the work around you as a whole person; your emotions, relationships, history and hopes for the future. The humanistic part means I see you as resourceful and capable of growth; the integrative part means I adapt my approach so you receive what you need at each stage of your journey.
Addiction recovery Coaching
As a qualified and very experienced addiction therapist, I work with a wide range of addictions including smoking, gambling, shopping, internet use, gaming, work, and over the counter painkillers. My specialist area is rly alcohol misuse and over-drinking
My private practice offers confidential, bespoke one‑to‑one sessions. With over twenty years’ experience in addiction and health‑related behaviour change, I provide a steady, non‑judgemental space where you can begin to reclaim your life at your own pace
Counselling - Coaching - Support with Addiction
If you’re reading this because something in your life feels difficult, confusing or stuck, it makes sense that you’re looking for support. You don’t have to work through it on your own. We will work at your pace and depth, with your therapeutic focus or goals at the centre

How I work
I believe deeply in the human capacity for healing, change and transformation, and I’m passionate about supporting people to move through their struggles and flourish. Here’s what you can expect when you work with me:
A safe therapeutic space
My approach is warm, calm, attuned and empathic. You’ll have a safe, steady space where you can feel genuinely heard and held; a space where you feel deeply understood, valued and supported. Many clients tell me it’s the first time they’ve felt able to speak freely without judgement
Emotional, cognitive and behavioural Insight
Drawing on my counselling skills, we explore your patterns, triggers and emotional landscape together. You may begin to understand why certain situations feel overwhelming or why old wounds still echo. With new insight and resilience, you can start to imagine and choose what you want for your life going forward
A Forward‑Focused, Motivational Framework
Drawing on coaching skills, I help you identify and clarify your values, strengths and choices. We explore what brings meaning and purpose to your life, identify obstacles and unhelpful patterns, turn ideas into action, and develop clear, achievable goals. The coaching approach provides structure, momentum and a sense of progress, while building confidence, motivation and accountability. If you’re ready to move forward, I’ll walk alongside you
Flexibility to Meet Clients Where They Are
Some days you may need depth, reflection and emotional processing; other days you may want clarity, direction or practical steps. As a dual‑skilled practitioner, I move fluidly between therapy and coaching so you receive what you need, when you need it. You don’t have to choose between the two. Whether you’re seeking focused support around a specific issue or long-term work, the process is flexible, responsive and shaped around your needs
