Please contact me with regard to current availability.About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor, Tutor, Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
I offer clinical supervision to individuals and groups. If you are a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist and are looking for a supervisor, please contact me for details and availability. I supervise therapists who work with Couples and individuals.
If you are currently a counsellor in training on a Level 5 Diploma course or above, I would also be pleased to supervise you and offer concessionary rates.
I also offer supervision of supervisors alongside management process groups and reflective practice groups for organisations. I offer small groups for therapists and supervisors to support each other and share ideas, ways of working and dilemmas. These groups are frequently described as connecting, freeing and energising.
What you can expect in supervision with me:
A warm compassionate and lively exchange of ideas and a secure base from which to explore. I aim to be spacious in my responses to my supervisee’s in order to strengthen their voices and through them the voices of their client’s. As Carroll &Tholstrup offer, “A supervision model should, above all else, help release power in the supervisee to enable the clients” (Carroll &Tholstrup 2004:16). A mix of support, insightful feedback, and challenge in supervision has been invaluable in my evolution as a therapist and superviser. I strive to offer this to my supervisees.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi I am Annette, I work with Indivuduals and Couples. I am an experienced Senior Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist.
I aim to offer each client a respectful and compassionate experience and to bring a relaxed presence to our work together.
I hope that describing myself as an empathic and warm person will fit with your experience if you work with me. These qualities together with insight and an ability to create safety and challenge I see as core requirements for successful therapeutic work.
I believe our mental and emotional health is impacted by our ability to access and process our emotions. It may be at this time you need some help working through your current challenges, or are aware of past trauma impacting you today. You may recognise patterns that repeat throughout your life and relationships, or familiar ways of coping that no longer help you. If you are seeking relationship therapy it may be that an event has rocked the relationship, you just feel unhappy, or have lost that spark. In sessions I aim to help you to alter patterns that aren’t working and develop new ones that do.
When you start therapy it is not unusual to be unsure about what you need or want, together we can work this out.
I am committed to addressing issues of inequality and prejudice. I continue to evolve my knowledge and understanding of historical legacy and its continuing impact. My Global majority clients add so much to this evolution.
I am also fortunate to work with many clients who identify as gender, sexuality and relationship diverse, alongside clients who describe themselves as neurodivergent. I strive to offer a non-judgemental space for all.
I aim to increase the diversity of my client group through the inclusivity of my approach.
My experience suggests understanding ourselves better brings many benefits to our mental and emotional health and relationships. If we work together I hope to help you venture beyond where we have been before, to a more insightful, happy and healthy place.
