About me and my therapy practice

I offer a welcoming and supportive safe space for qualified or trainee therapists to reflect on your work with clients. I will not criticise, so you are safe to say anything without the fear of judgement or shame.

Developing an ethical, open and trusting relationship is key to the way I work but it is also a relationship that will challenge, enabling you to grow as a counsellor/psychotherapist and develop your practice in a professional and ethical way.

Whether you're a student in placement or a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, I will use my knowledge and experience to focus on your clients' welfare as well as your development as a counsellor. I use both a process model and an operational model of supervision (Seven Eyed Model & Mazzetti).

I am BACP accredited, trained in Person-Centred Humanistic therapy, but open to work with other models and abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

About me and my therapy practice

In a peaceful and safe environment we can work effectively together in a respectful, open and trusting relationship, exploring whatever issues you are experiencing. Working at your pace, I will listen, support and offer you the space to express yourself openly and honestly. I will help you find the tools and strategies required to help you feel less stressed and anxious and more able to cope with whatever issues are challenging you right now. Your mental health will improve and you will become more empowered so that you feel more in control to make decisions that are right for you.

Organising counselling can sometimes be overwhelming but by following a few easy steps you can contact me and be on your counselling journey in no time:

Phone or email me to set up an initial session - we will talk about you and what you want to get out of counselling

If you are happy to continue, we will then arrange future weekly/fortnightly sessions.

I have worked as a counsellor since 2012 and have gained extensive experience working in private practice and with two local charities offering counselling to the elderly, and people with limited mobility and also for people diagnosed with cancer, their families and carers.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor ( British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy),  I am a fully insured and adhere to the BACP's ethical code of conduct. I have regular supervision to ensure a high standard of professional practice.
