About me and my therapy practice
My counselling supervision reflects the core parts of my integrative model which come from the principles of integrative psychotherapy, humanistic approaches, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and systems theories.
My perspective is also informed by understanding of lifespan development, attachment theory, the impact of trauma, particularly in childhood, and neuroscience. I draw on knowledge of various supervision and coaching models, depending on the immediate and ongoing needs of my supervisees.
Practice description
What I can offer in supervision is also informed by many years of working across a wide range of settings, including private practice, schools, FE colleges, in the university sector and health. I have additional qualifications in working with children and young people and specialist knowledge of supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families.
My goal is always to provide a safe, compassionate, supportive space for my supervisees to be able to speak openly and honestly, where they can reflect on and evaluate their practice, hold awareness of personal and professional factors affecting them and continue to develop their professional skills and confidence across time.
My first session
In our first session we will discuss current supervision wishes and requirements, gather background information and begin the process of understanding whether we are a good fit. We will agree a review date, to ensure that your supervision needs are appropriately met at this point in your career.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Harriet. I’m an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor offering both short-term counselling and well-being interventions as well as longer term psychotherapeutic work. I also have training and experience in coaching and can draw on a wide range of approaches to match the unique needs of my clients.
I’m an accredited BACP counsellor and have lots of experience working with people across all age ranges in health, education and charity settings as well as in private practice. Having completed additional training to work with young people, much of my work has been with people up to the age of 25. In my private practice I currently work with people age 19 and over.
Practice description
My clients are often people who are finding it hard to manage or make sense of life challenges and transitions, such as changes to work, dealing with relationship struggles, family difficulties or identity questions.
The longer term psychotherapeutic work I offer might involve looking at past experiences, attachment patterns and relational styles which have developed throughout life. Together we review what impact these experiences have had and, with care, understanding and compassion, we work together for you to become more at ease with yourself or perhaps to make changes, for a greater sense of authenticity, self-acceptance and fulfilment.
My first session
In our first session we will complete an assessment together to ensure that I can help you with your concerns and that we are a good fit. We will discuss the terms of therapy and get an idea of what you want to get from it.
