About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified, accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have been in practice for over 17 years.
As an Integrative Clinical Supervisor, (qualified to Diploma Level, course accredited by the United Kingdom Counselling & Psychotherapy) I provide one to one and group clinical supervision.
My approach is relational to help supervisees feel at ease and be able to explore their client work in a collaborative, supportive and educative environment.
Working with the Shoet and Hawkins 7 eyed model, including;
How the client is and looking at what they present in the session
Exploring strategies and interventions used to facilitate the work
Focusing on the relationship between the therapist and client
Exploring what is happening for the therapist, internal processing, transference/counter transference
Focusing on the supervisory relationship, what is going on in the clinical supervision sessions between ourselves i.e. parallel processing
Exploring my reactions to what is being brought by the therapist
Focusing on the wider contexts of the work i.e. environment, cultural aspects, wellbeing and ethical framework
Practice description
I offer clinical supervision for qualified therapists, trainee counsellors and frontline professions either on a one to one or group basis.

About me and my therapy practice
Welcome. Often couples and individuals come into counselling to exploring a particular difficulty or to make a specific change in their lives, this can often result in feelings of anxiety, stress, and uncertainty. I offer an empathic, supportive, and accepting space. Working with individuals and couples I offer short-term and on-going support. My aim is to provide an inclusive space for all.
I work with many difficulties such as anxiety, trauma including PTSD, relationship problems, bullying, anger and menopause. I also offer bereavement support including pregnancy and baby loss. Please feel able to contact me to discuss other area's of support that I offer.
As an integral therapist, I use a range of therapeutic approaches to facilitate the work to meet the needs of the individual or couple.
As well as working in private practice I have worked as a counsellor for 17 years alongside organisations such as Mind, Victim Support, Women’s Aid, Bereavement services and private health companies. I also provide clinical supervision for counsellors and other professionals.
As a qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), attending regular continued professional development is important to me and I keep myself updated with new theories and changes within the field. I follow BACP's ethical framework for working with clients and attend regular clinical supervision.
If you feel you would like to talk with me about seeking support, I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone consultation.
