About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified, accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have been in practice for over 17 years.

As an Integrative Clinical Supervisor, (qualified to Diploma Level, course accredited by the United Kingdom Counselling & Psychotherapy) I provide one to one and group clinical supervision.

My approach is relational to help supervisees feel at ease and be able to explore their client work in a collaborative, supportive and educative environment.

Working with the Shoet and Hawkins 7 eyed model, including;

How the client is and looking at what they present in the session

Exploring strategies and interventions used to facilitate the work

Focusing on the relationship between the therapist and client

Exploring what is happening for the therapist, internal processing, transference/counter transference

Focusing on the supervisory relationship, what is going on in the clinical supervision sessions between ourselves i.e. parallel processing

Exploring my reactions to what is being brought by the therapist

Focusing on the wider contexts of the work i.e. environment, cultural aspects, wellbeing and ethical framework

Practice description

I offer clinical supervision for qualified therapists, trainee counsellors and frontline professions either on a one to one or group basis.

As well as being in private practice I work alongside a university in London, a suicide prevention organisation in Essex, a women's charity in London and a national bereavement charity providing clinical supervision.

My first session

During the first appointment we will be looking at what you find useful from the clinical supervision process and past supervision experiences. I have a supervision contract so each party is clear on the process which is something we can look at together to ensure it meets both parties needs.  We will discuss confidentiality of the sessions along with GDPR and how your details are kept. Frequency and timings of sessions will also be explored.
