About me and my therapy practice

Living in this ever changing complex world can result in experiences that we are unable to cope with. Bottling up intense feelings such as, anxiety and grief can become exhausting, so finding the counsellor and psychotherapist who is able to connect and explore your dilemmas can be fearful.

As a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with experience of working with adults, young people and children with a variety of issues, I offer a safe and confidential space where together we can work through these dilemmas in a accepting and non-judgemental way; this will allow for the opportunity of change to take place.

Practice description

Prior to setting up my private practice I have worked for local charities; including working with mothers and young children, counselling in local schools, counselling with adults, who are survivors of incest and sexual abuse. Including staff and student counselling for local colleges and the NHS. Further to this I also worked as a child and family counsellor in a specialist service to CAMHS whilst also working as a specialist mentor for university students with disabilities.

Alongside my private practice, I also  provided birth relative counselling, including as working as a staff counsellor for local district councils and organisations. I also provided psychological services for PFOA (Police Firearms Officers Association) and EAP companies. Alongside this I am a clinical supervisor for trainee and trained counsellors / psychotherapists.
