I currently have availability to see new supervisees. If you’re looking for a supervisor to support you in your professional role as a counsellor, therapist or healthcare practitioner. I offer a free 40 minute initial introductory meeting either face to face or online via Zoom. About me and my therapy practice

As a supervisor I offer a you a confidential collaborative working relationship, a safe, trusting, non-judgmental space where you can process, explore and reflect on your work with clients on a deep level where you will feel fully supported in your demanding role. Supervision is also a time where your learning, growth and development as a practitioner is encouraged and supported with the focus of enabling you to grow in your competence and confidence as a professional.

I am a qualified supervisor with 5 years experience of providing supervision to qualified and student counsellors, psychotherapists and other healthcare professionals. I’m a registered BACP accredited Person-Centred counsellor with 19 years experience as a counsellor.

have a Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision. I also have an Extended Certificate in Online and Telephone Supervision. 

I am based on the outskirts of Oswestry, Shropshire, and I have parking available at my counselling venue. I provide supervision sessions either face to face or online via Zoom. 

I have worked as a counsellor in a variety of settings including healthcare, hospice care, mental health, schools, colleges, and private practice. I have experience of working with adults and children and young people. 

As a supervisor I also have experience of supervising nurses, occupational health practitioners and healthcare workers. I have experience of supervising counsellors who work with children and young people in a variety of settings including schools, colleges and private practice.

Practice description

As a supervisor I offer a you a confidential working relationship, a safe space where you can explore your work with clients and feel supported in your role as a therapist, where you will be encouraged to learn, grow and develop as a professional practitioner. 


My first session

Supervision is fundamental to a counsellors/therapists role and I understand how important it is to work with a supervisor that you can trust and feel safe with, therefore I offer you a free initial introductory 40 minute meeting either face to face or online to talk about how we would work together and explore how best I can support you in your role as a counsellor/therapist or healthcare professional. The meeting is also a time where you could ask me any questions you may have about my supervision service. Please feel able contact me if you’d like to arrange an introductory meeting.

About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling stressed, anxious, lonely or overwhelmed? Or maybe you’re feeling sad, lost, unmotivated or experiencing low mood or you may feel that you are lacking in self-confidence or you have low self-esteem ? You may  have been through traumatic experiences in your life or you’ve experienced a traumatic event?  You may be grieving the loss of loved one? Changes such as bereavement, divorce, redundancy, moving house, leaving school, going to university, children leaving home can affect people in many different ways.  Talking to a counsellor such as myself can be a helpful resource to facilitate you in finding better ways to cope with your challenging thoughts, feelings and experiences. Talking to a counsellor can be an important outlet to help you navigate difficult feelings and challenging times, we all need support sometimes to help us figure things out. 

My counselling service is here to provide you with a space where you can feel safe to be yourself without judgement, a space where you can explore and process your thoughts and feelings and experiences. I can help you find better ways of managing and coping with your anxieties, your worries and your difficult and challenging life experiences so that you can find a way forward in your life. 

I work with all age groups adults, children and young people, I also work with couples.

Practice description

I’m an accredited person-centred counsellor with 18 years experience as a counsellor. I have vast experience of working with all kinds of different concerns such as anxiety, depression, low-mood, feelings of being overwhelmed, stress, abuse, work related issues, relationship issues and low self worth. I have particular experience of working with bereavement, grief, loss and trauma.

I have a Masters Degree in Counselling, an Advanced Diploma in Gestalt Therapy, a Diploma in Person-Centred counselling, a certificate in integrative counselling. I am a certified EMDR therapist. I have a certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling. I have a CPCAB level 6 Certificate in therapeutic supervision and I have an extended certificate in Online and Telephone Supervision. I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.


My first session

The first session is a time for you to explore what has made you decide to come for counselling and what you would like to achieve from your counselling sessions. It’s difficult to say this or that happens in the first session as each client is unique and individual and their experiences and circumstances will differ. In the first session I will talk about confidentiality and how important it is for you to feel safe and comfortable with me as your counsellor, we will also explore how counselling may be of help to you going forward.
