About me and my therapy practice
I have been working as a Person-Centered Supervisor for 11 years, mostly in private practice.
I have also worked extensively in Further and Higher Education settings, teaching on numerous Counselling Courses.
I work one-to-one, or in groups.
As a member of the BACP I adhere to their Ethics and Code of Practice (a copy can be found on their website).
Practice description
As a Person-Centered Supervisor I work with the whole person. I believe that it is my job to support you in your job as a Counsellor, and whatever may affect your ability to do your work. Therefore, I am interested in the whole of you.
I see being a Counsellor as bringing yourself into a relationship with your client, so as a Supervisor I am interested in the person that you are.
I want you to feel free to bring anything to supervision, from client issues to personal issues. My role is to hold the boundaries and support you in whatever way may make your practice more effective.
Supervision can vary depending on the Supervisees needs/wants and I willing and able to be flexible with this.
My wish is for you to find Supervision a safe, nurturing, supportive space for you and your practice.
My first session
First contact is made via phone/email, where a Supervisee will usually share a few details.
We can then arrange a mutually agreeable time/date for more detailed session.
