About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced, Senior Accredited BACP therapist working with couples and individuals and specialising in relationship counselling.

Healthy relationships have a positive impact on many areas of our lives. Yet pressures of work and lifestyle choices, health issues, unexpected crises, redundancy and retirement, the impact of children or infertility, ageing, bereavement and depression, caring for relatives and financial strains as well as our own personal relationship histories, all affect our ability to keep channels of communication with those closest to us open.

Relationship counselling offers a space for couples and individuals to explore and reflect on patterns of behaviour which may at times feel stuck, causing frustration, disappointment and unhappiness. In a confidential and non-judgemental environment, I work with clients to develop and sustain the ability to think about themselves and their relationships and to open up opportunities for communication.

After working for 10 years in humanitarian aid and international conflict resolution, I trained with Relate and Tavistock Relationships (formerly the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships) and have worked with couples and individuals for over 15 years..
